That is why the house is clean.
I really liked to clean before we had children….REALLY liked to clean.
It is now weird when I think back on it. I would stay up until 2am on the weekend cleaning out everything. It gave me such pleasure and a sense of accomplishment to have everything organized.
I drove my new husband nuts….since I thought he should be up with me sharing this special bonding time.
Three kids later, homeschooling, running a business and just LIFE….we have some very nice ladies come once a month to help me out.
I wish I could afford once a week, but I will take what I can get.
So if you are invited to our house you will understand why we will always invite you on Wednesday…the day AFTER the cleaning ladies have been here.
Enjoy the pictures of a clean livingroom.
A clean house is HEAVEN! Too bad it will be a mess by tonight!
Before we had kids I used to clean like a crazy lady. I remember one day when my husband came home to me in the linen closet and a page open in Martha Stewart Living that I was trying to replicate. He then put me on Martha Stewart restriction. 🙁
That apothecary jar of old stamps is amazing!!!
I don’t have a cleaning lady but we did just hire a landscaper for the first time. Just can’t do it all anymore….
Have a great day enjoying your clean, clean house! 🙂
AAAH, honestly, as I type this – my cleaning ladies are here. They’re here for 2 hours since that only fit in our budget…I LOVE Wednesday’s, too!
Happy Clean House – it goes so quickly, doesn’t it!?
It looks beautiful!
I need to start rakin in the dough so I can have some help too.
I used to be a cleaning maniac–my husband would say “we do actually LIVE here”
since starting up the business in November…it has been a wreck! what has happened to my OCD? I need a little of it back!

Having a clean house makes me smile and feel good inside. And it’s OK that it is messy in a short while – that just means the house is lived in with love!!
Wow! Hardly know where to start! I, too, love the idea of the print blocks on display in the jar! AND! I love the wreath over the mirror! How come I never thought of this?? 😉
I have that same bird decal (from McMaster & Storm?) and have yet to find a way to use it — I’m scouting out a mirror right after I publish this comment! Hey… love those “number” pillows! They look so familiar!! 😉
Great post!
BTW — My dream is to have a cleaning lady…some day. 🙂

You know what? I was the same way. Looooved to clean and the house was always cute and todi. Now there never seems to be anytime for it and it is always the last thing on the list 🙂
Oh my goodness your home is beautiful! And your cleaning lady certainly does a lovely job, although I give you most of the credit!
Lovely photos and beautiful house! I so wish i had a cleaning lady to come once in a while. That’s on my vision board;) I HATE to clean so that would really be heaven.
Your home looks lovely. I on the other hand never liked cleaning, not even before kids, although I just love the feeling of a clean house. My cleaner comes every two weeks, but I do wish he came every week.
What a gorgeous room!
Jeanne, your house is gorgeous..I love all the little details, love the No. pillows and the sweet bird peaking through the wreath, and I HEART your new chair soo much, and all your old books, absolutley adorable. I am the maid and I accept that my OCD rears is ugly head Saturday bright and early, I can’t help myself..maybe one day I will break down and get a cleaning lady…!
on that note, easter’s at your place!!=) love you.
Beautiful Photos.. I had the Greatest Cleaning lady for almost 10 years. We were so Lucky and she would help me with parties and she cleaned my house like no other. A few years ago she moved away with her family and I have never hired anyone else. Every week when Im doing it all I think about her and what a blessing she was.. Oh those were the days… Your home is Gorgeous.. Jamie
Oh my, I’m moving in. I’ll clean for you, I promise? Puh-lease??! (Oh yes, and can my husband and two daughters come, too? That broke the deal now, didn’t it? :o)
Your home is just divine. I adore everything from the pillows to the bell jar to the colors.
LOL about posting Wednesday photos…I don’t blame ya, mama!
Beautiful home you have there and I bet it’s beautiful even on the Tuesday before the cleaning lady shows up.
I need to hire a few cleaning ladies myself. Once a week would be great, but I would settle for once a month.
Great blog!! I added it to my list. Now I’m going to check out your Etsy store.
Have a happy day
