On Sunday we met some of our good friends to go pick pumpkins.
We drove 1 1/2 hours.
When we got there it was freezing and I hadn't checked the weather for this town…and didn't bring any jackets (my husband had brought his winter coat).
Mother of the year.
If it makes it any better I think I was colder than anyone else.
Even though we were FREEZING we had a great time.
I think they had the best kettle corn I have ever tasted…or I was really hungry!
The kids loved the hay bail maze, the barrel rides and all the games that were set up.
Ben loved the animals and we all loved the tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch.
I was happy because I found five white pumpkins and the kids had so much fun picking out theirs.
I would show you photos at the pumpkin patch but people that don't charge their camera battery don't get to take many pictures!
Once we got home I took some of my rub ons and created this…..
I think it turned out really cute and plan on doing a few more.
I have to admit that I am not a big seasonal decorator…except for Christmas.
No Easter, Valentines, Halloween, Thanksgiving decorations around here….except for Columbus Day…that holiday has the best decorations;-)
So my five white pumpkins and bundles of wheat around the house is about the extent of my fall decor.
I do like my mulled cider candle…does that count????
Goes right along with my post for tomorrow. I love your Fall rub-on pumpkin, it turned out great. Looks like everyone had fun despite the chilly temps. It’s been really cold here too.
What fun!

I love the pictures….fun editing! That place looks very festive and fun. I love the idea of the hay bale maze! 🙂 I got a white pumpkin too. Haven’t done anything with it yet…but the rub-on idea is pretty neat!
Sounded like great fun!
that looks like such a good day…i am not much for holiday decorating either…one thing is i don’t like when things have to be moved to make way for holiday decor…i like everything to be where it is supposed to be…your kids are really adorable Jeanne…your daughter looks so much like you…
I only want white pumpkins now but we grew orange ones in the pumpkin patch at the farmhouse. I need to find some white pumpkin seeds somewhere for next year…(the orange thing is just not working for me 🙂
what fun…our pumpkin patch trip is next week….a yearly tradition that my kiddos love as well.
isn’t that just like a dad? we make sure that everybody looks adorable~that’s our job. then dad brings a coat for himself only~~we will have to train him to retrieve everybody’s practical items~
have a nice weekend.

kettle corn is my FAVORITE. or anything popcorn… watch out at bgc when we make the caramel corn. I turn into some kind of eating machine. Your family is super cute! LOVE the fall pumpkin!
Love your images…what would we do without Pumpkin Patches? Your idea about the rub ons is so so clever…I am going to try it! Thanks for sharing that one! xoxoxoxo Your family is so darling!
How cute! I’m hoping to pack up the kiddos and go sometime this weekend. Maybe after church on Sunday.. I love what you did with the pumpkins. I love decorating but there are just a few that I do. Definitely Christmas, spring and fall. My hubby wants me to start doing more for Halloween though. We’ll see, after seeing Sara’s(Sadie Olive) new decorations I might just have to;)
i only decorate for fall and christmas. i am lovin white pumpkins this year too. need to get some rubons. great idea.
Okay, lots to say–you have the most gorgeous family!! Your photos are always so awesome!! I want to live where you live! SUCH a cute pumpkin!! Happy weekend, friend!!!
Love your photos, that pumpkin patch looks like so much fun…I wonder how long it would take me to drive there, can I stay with you once we get there?
Your family is gorgeous!! LOVE your pumpkin and I don’t decorate except for chritmas and colombus day! 🙂
Your fall decorating…is much like mine…plain and simple…love it!
wish we could have seen the pumpkin patch;-)
awesome pictures! love the fall rub on.
Thanks for the photos! It looked like a great day in spite of the cold weather. The maize and barrel ride looks like lots of fun for kids. And yours if the first white pumpkin I have ever seen. Fall is such a great season:)
What a fun day! You could be like my daughter and always carry a good selection of jackets in the trunk of your car (she is too lazy to bring them in!), and then you would always be prepared. I love the white pumpkin…great job!
Love it! We will be going soon, too. I LOVE decorating for Columbus Day….globes and maps all over the place!
Enjoy your weekend.
Adrienne
I did the same thing with the “no coats” thing last weekend… I know I’ll be runner up to your Mother of the year prize.
Love that adorable punkin!
I am finding simple is better !!!!
Love the white 🙂
I found green ones this year and last year. People have been getting to the white ones quicker than I can … stinkers.
Looks like fun.
Janet
Hi Jeanne 🙂
We plan on doing the same thing this weekend. Great pictures!
I know what you mean about Fall. We do a bit of Halloween type stuff, but my big decorating time is Christmas too. I love that pumpkin though!

Yummmm Kettle Corn. Where is Anderson Farms? If it’s closer to me I might have to just go get some Kettle Corn if it was that darn good….. 😉
What pictures you did take were gorgeous! But really your kids are gorgeous so the pic’s might come pretty easy…
1) Your daughter has cuter clothes than I do. 2) Over-doing Halloween is annoying anyway! 3) Love that white pumpkin.
