Come and experience Round Top with Paige Hull and Jeanne Oliver. You will be staying at The Vintage Round Top in the heart of all the markets! You’ll be welcomed with an opening meet-up with cocktails and appetizers as we share our knowledge and passion for shopping vintage. The next day, Paige and Jeanne will take you to their favorite shops and venues. You will experience shopping Round Top like a native! Each day will also be full of little surprises that make coming to Round Top so special. The third day you will be creating art with Jeanne. Using vintage ephemera, plaster, paints, inks, lino printing and more. You’ll create your own art from treasures you have found the day before. After the day of art you will get dressed up and head to a special evening that only Round Top could offer. Our final day together we will be going to the opening of Marburger Farm along with many more venues throughout the afternoon. You will leave with vintage treasures, piles of art, incredible memories and new friends.
The Vintage Round Top will be your home away from home and is located within walking distance of ten of the best show venues and only one mile from the charming town of Round Top. The interiors of this highly publicized property were designed by Paige in her signature Modern Vintage style and will be the muse and backdrop for learning, creating, and communing with other like-minded people to experience the largest antique fair in the United States.

I have been enjoying the spring and fall antiques shows in Round Top, Texas for the past eight years. This show has been going on for fifty years so I am definitely a newbie! I have also been blessed to have book signings, teach a live art workshop and also speak at The Gathering in Round Top. I have so many sweet memories with family and friends and I hope to continue going year after year. Each time I go I learn more about what I love, where I want to shop, how to find hidden treasures and how to not feel overwhelmed.
Over the past years I have had so many questions about where we shop, eat and stay that I wanted to do a fun post sharing what I loved about this special little town and the amazing men and women that make Round Top what it is. When I think of Round Top, Texas I think of live oak trees, rolling hills, fields full of blue bonnets, Festival Hill, fields and fields of antiques, and my friend Tara. The Royer family has been feeding antique lovers for years and has become such a sweet part of the Round Top community. I thought Tara Royer Steele would be the perfect person to give you her tips and tricks for coming to Round Top.

Sleep
These are just hotels we are familiar with. There are so many private airbnb and vrbo you can find but book early.
Eat
The Garden Company | dinner reservations are highly recommended during the shows and it is first come first serve during lunch.
LuLu’s | dinner reservations are a must. Even if it looks booked online give them a call and they are often able to accomodate you.
Prost | after a full day out in the fields and shopping this is one of my favorite place to relax under the trees, enjoy a glass of wine and charcuterie board. Come dinner time you will want to be around the fire pit with friends enjoying the fire baked pizza (only during the shows).
Ellis Motel | a great place to listen to music and have a great cocktail.
Royer’s Cafe (this is Kelly’s favorite)

What to Bring and Wear
The weather can be very unpredictable so bring layers. It is also not a bad idea to bring a raincoat and umbrella (just in case).
Have good walking shoes and/or boots. You will be walking in fields, dirt and sometimes mud.
You will want a hat for all of the time in the sun and don’t forget your sunscreen.
Bring a large bag to carry your treasures and if you are driving bring a cart or wagon to save your back.
Most shops take credit cards but I always like to keep cash on me too.
Always have water with you because it is easy to get dehydrated and instantly feel horrible.
