Welcome to the Icons + Legends series. Each month I will highlight a different artist and share what I find fascinating about their work and life. This month in the spotlight is artist Faye Toogood
I was first introduced to Faye and her work when a friend gifted me her book, Faye Toogood: Drawing, Material, Sculpture, Landscape. I was immediately drawn to the different mediums she used in her work and the freedom that was evident from painting, sculpting, works on fabric etc. It felt like one idea had the permission to dive into a different rabbit hole and that Toogood was happy to oblige. I would hope that for each of us in our own creative expressions.
