By now I hope you have had a chance to check out the new website.

I have gotten many emails asking about my new site and blog redesign.

I thought this would be the easiest way to answer your questions.

First of all I knew it was time for me to have my own website.

I have loved Etsy and I know it may surprise many but I will continue to sell on Etsy.

Esty has been amazing to me.

Many new customers find me all the time and this is how most of my retailers have found me.

I now have a website that allows me to have more control of how my products are presented and also offer extra information such as classes etc.

My whole site was designed by Sara Duckett of Sadie Olive.

I have worked with Sara for the past 2 1/2 years and I am honored to call her a close friend.

The benefit of me choosing to have Sara design my site is because she has designed for me since the beginning and she is now very familiar with my style and taste {and her taste is exquisite}.

The truth is that I gave her all the information, recommendations, samples etc. and she was pretty dang close to what I wanted the first time.

We continued to tweak until we had what you see now.

I wanted to introduce everyone to my new website now so you know where to go when the spring line is up.

Right now the only thing you can buy on the new site is my art.

But trust me…as I am even typing…new things are in the works and I think you are going to love this line even more than the last.

{I always think that the line I am working on is my new favorite…I hope you agree}

I wanted to also let you know that if you are starting out to be careful how much you invest in a website.

I have delayed this step for awhile but even now I was very careful to not spend too much.

I want to take a moment to talk about Etsy.

If you are just starting out I think Etsy in the MOST incredible place to get your feet wet.

Easy to set up and very easy on your wallet.

As you grow you can always go and add a website but I have to be honest with you….I know so many artists that keep their Esty site stocked because they get so many NEW customers from Etsy everyday.

Sara Duckett expressed it best…Etsy gives you a built in audience.  So true!

Potential customers are doing random searches for product and they are more likely to find you on Etsy than on your own site.

Websites are wonderful when you have a large following but Etsy is a great way to grow your customer base.

I hope you love the new website and I am looking forward to having it bulging with new product in two short months.

If you have any questions I would love to hear them {and hopefully I can answer them}.
