Last fall I launched Creatively Made Home {creating a home that reflects your heart in everyday living}.
I wanted to create a course that celebrated what really matters in your home…..you, family and friends.

It became a course on creating beauty through the details and the blessings of hospitality.
I am so excited to announce that we are now launching Creatively Made Home {home for the holidays}!

Oh my… Christmas is such a magical time of year!!! The sights, sounds and smells all bring so much joy. Everything from searching for the perfect tree, to decorating the house, to baking cookies and snuggling up to family while reading the Christmas story. The spirit of giving and spending special time with family and friends. But what makes me feel incredibly special is that God loved me so much that He sent His Son Jesus into the world… as a babe in a manger… to bring peace… to bring hope… to bring love… and salvation.
I love the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas, a time of family and love. The wonderful time to celebrate Jesus’ birth and the wonder of God’s love. I have just visited this site for the first time and have been just overjoyed. The courses seem to be so well prepared and I look forward to learning more.
My favorite thing about Christmas is my Grandson. He has brought so much joy ino our lives, & being able ti see the Holidays is nothing short of amazing. It fills me wih joy (and sometimes tears). 🙂 I hope I’m one very lucky winner!
The Very Best,
Sheila in Oregon (From Denver) 🙂
Family, food, giving, decorated home, a happy heart…
I love this idea! The holidays are so important to me because : 1. I live in Hong Kong far from my extended family (I’m canadian) so, 2. I try to make this time of year super meaningful for my young children by creating traditions and 3. this course would help me to ‘ground’ that because we live in a home that is assigned to us and that we didn’t choose. This course would be great to help me put all of this together. thanks for the chance!
I am about to be an empty nester, so I look forward to the holidays when I will have the family back together!! Very special 🙂

Thanks again Jeanne!
I think I love my home the most during the holidays. So warm and cozy and full of memories. I love to decorate for every season, but there is just something magical about a house full of Christmas!
Christmas is the coming together of family and of course, celebrating in the miracle of life and the birth of our Saviour. Now that I am older and my family gets smaller and family has moved away, it is even more special to be able to all be together and enjoy each other’s company and all the old traditions we keep plus the new ones we create.
I pinned it and shared on Facebook too!!
We do not live near extended family so we have made an effort to create our own family traditions. Celebrating the magic of the season and the joy of Christ’s birth.
I shared on Facebook.
I Love you Creative Home course and would surely love this one….Christmas is such a special time of year. Thanks for sharing with us.
I pinned it on pinterest….thanks
and on facebook….thanks again
Love the sights and sounds of Christmas all around my home. Decorating, baking and entertaining seem so much more special during the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Would love to win a spot in this holiday course.
celebrating with family and friends… the reality of what Christmas means in God’s big grace story is incredible and is so special to have what feels like extended time of celebrating and focusing on the meaning of what we celebrate, and the Savior Jesus Christ who is the one who gives life! I love spending time decorating with meaning, cooking seasonal foods, spending time with friends and family… all make the holidays special!:)
When I was younger, Christmas was ALL about the gifts, decor, and bright lights! That excitement and anticipation of the smell of a REAL Christmas tree, cookies baking etc., Christmas Eve Service, holding candles and celebrating the birth of Christ. When I got married, Family became more of the focus as well as all of those childhood traditions. Just how did my Mom do it all? I was always stressing, trying to recreate that picture perfect, greeting card, looking home and those childhood times. THEN… This last Fall I found out I had not one, but TWO types of cancer and I had my first surgery ten days before Christmas. There was little time or energy to decorate, I was just thankful to be alive and to be honest I was numb from hearing the news, “you have stage 4 Ovarian Cancer!” My brother and sis decided to come for a visit the week between Christmas and New Year”s. We had not all three been in the same room together in 22 years! This was Christmas!!!! FAMILY… And God’s love… Enjoying each other’s company and the simple things about the holidays. It did not matter that my house was not all decked out, no REAL tree or freshly baked cookies in the oven.. My new motto in everything is keep it simple!
Can’t wait to see how all these talented busy ladies create the look and feel of the holidays in THEIR homes! I would love to find some new joyful ways to create that Holiday feel that hopefully are a bit less stressful to put together.
There are SO many things about the holidays that make me feel special…first & foremost is it’s a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus…the One who left it all to come to Earth, live a perfect life and take on the sins of the world at the cross…MY sins…WOW…now THAT makes me feel special! Another thing that makes me feel special is making other people feel special! It’s so fun to have friends over to sit by a sparkly tree sipping hot chocolate and enjoying a Christmas movie. Time spent in the homes of my friends & family during the holidays makes me feel special as well. Thanks for such a thoughtful question…I have a smile on my face just thinking about what’s ahead! 🙂
My holidays are complete when my four kiddos are home with me! My oldest three are on their own, and have crazy school/work schedules. We rarely get to celebrate on the actual holiday, but I make sure that the decorations, food, and traditions are still in place!
I rarely get the first sentence of grace said before I burst into tears because I have the people I love more than anything with me. And my kids take bets to see how long it takes. (Brats!)
It doesn’t matter to me if we celebrate a “date”. I just need my children all together to celebrate our “holiday”.
I’m so excited for your new course Jeanne!

I think what I love most about holiday time, or anytime really, is that my grown kids still like to hang around with their parents. 🙂
Family, movies, trees, advent, yummy treats!
Posted on Pinterest too! I KNOW I’m not the only one dreaming of holidays there!
Family… definitely being around family is what makes me feel special.
Christmas is a special time to bring family together to laugh, cry, enjoy food and creating new memories while cherishing old traditions!
What a wonderful course with so many talented women. This Christmas will be very special as my husband went through a heart transplant and we are planning to have the entire family home for the holiday.
What an awesome course!
Having our Mom with us,my mother has Parkinson’s disease and has been in a nursing home for the past three years it was so hard to do this but was best for her.So it’s a big deal when we bust her out for a few hours, it takes us back to “like it used to be” Of course the food and decorations I’m very minimal but it’s still festive but can always use some new tricks and ideas.
My favorite thing about the holidays is spending time with my family. We have LOTS of family traditions and it is really fun and meaningful to share those with the little members of the family. We are now to the point where they remember some of the traditions (like making hard candy every year for gifts or putting out the Christmas village) and are eager to repeat them.
Giving! I don’t think there is anything else in this world that can make a person feel better than giving does!
Spending time with the family, immediate and extended is definitely the favorite part of the holidays. Documenting our December has been a favorite past time now over the last few years, our children are young and we want to make sure to give them great experiences over the holiday season. Baking with my mom and sister are also at the top of the list. Great giveaway! Thanks for the chance!

I just sold my house and can’t find the next one yet. So I have to temporarily locate to an apartment and want to have a warm and Christmassy feel there for the holidays even though I am limited to what I can do.
I would love it if this class would show me how. I love the warm and unusual and personal touched at Christmas time.
Beyond excited about the course content – it just seems like a very whole approach to a very special time of year. Thanks so much for putting it all together in a nice package. That may be a pun 🙂
Quite a few years back, my daughter was in the hospital with cancer. After surgery and a prolongued stay in the hospital, she was released the day before Christmas. Friends had put up a tree and decorated it for us, but other than that, there was nothing else, no gifts, no extravagant meal………………………except, of course, the joy of being together with the ones you love. I will never forget that feeling.
I love seeing the magic in my kids eyes. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and I would love to win this course, thank you for the chance!
Spending time with family, decorating and going to see The Nutcracker every year. This class looks fantastic!!!

My husband and I were married a week before Christmas, and my birthday is two weeks before, so the whole month is a celebration in my house. I enjoy spending the time with my family, and seeing my son’s excitement on Christmas morning.
love this! what makes me feel special during the holidays are the cards & photos I receive from faraway family & friends.
Just pinned it to my “christmas” board… 🙂
Thank you!! Christmas is a time that I reflect and thank God for all my blessing! I also have a special cookie that I share with friends each year..the recipe is from my Grandma Bell so it has double meaning.
The class looks amazing! I’d love to share it with my sister, Kim.
Blessings!
This is so exciting!! I just love the holidays! They really are my favorite time of the year! I think what I love most is the fun time we having enjoying making special memories and keeping up with family traditions including decorating the tree (each of my kids also have a small one for their rooms), driving around looking at lights while sipping starbucks, reading our favorite holiday stories and watching our favorite movies, baking cookies, creating Christmas cards and our annual newsletter, and of course celebrating with our church family at our Christmas Eve service! 🙂
Just pinned to my Christmas board!
I just shared on FB..thanks Jeanne!
Oh! This sounds truly lovely. Our newest tradition is Operation Christmas Child, filling shoeboxes and being a relay station/ drop off place. Christmas starts early since this all takes place before Thanksgiving. With my second heading out to college, just one left, some traditions get left behind. I guess I need to look forward to re-inventing this year.
What makes me feel special is sharing our home with family and friends. I love entertaining especially during the holidays, decorating for the holidays makes the home so much more cozy and seeing everyone enjoying their selves in the home you have created is such a great gift!
Christmas is a time of thanking friends and family for all they do and thanking God for them. All my gifts are home baked!
Family always makes me feel special…but around the holidays it just special x’s 100!
Just posted on my fb page! 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/TatteredArtStudio 🙂 Thanks again!!
holidays mean family and not about $ but making them and others feel loved and special
I love the feel of the holiday season – from October through December, actually. The warmth, comfort, colors, family. It’s all rejuvenating to me. And after living with my adult daughter and her family for the last five months (as fun as that has been), I am SUPER excited to be in my own home again by the middle of September. Again, I will strive to create a home of sacredness, peace, joy and comfort.

cookies – sounds a little odd – but I love looking through my cookbooks picking out new ones to try, spending time in the kitchen with my kids baking…and baking…and baking, and then I love giving trays of twenty or so different types to all of my non-baking friends and families. (and maybe eating a few too!)
What an amazing lineup! I was just thinking about the holidays as I was grocery shopping tonight. I love the food traditions and treats as a way to make your family feel special!
I love everything about Christmas…family, my animals, my horse! The food, the decorations, the cheer. It’s also my birthday month. So much to celebrate. It’s awesome.

My favorite parts of the holiday are the celebration of the birth of Jesus, family, Christmas carols, giving to those less fortunate. We have an angel tree at the church and we buy for underprivileged families and then we get to distribute these gifts. The joy on the faces of those receiving is worth it all. Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in this awesome class!

Christmas feelings are warm and fuzzy. Opening your decorations and seeing things in a new season, it’s like your own personal present to your self. Family and friends are always part of Christmas but so are your surroundings. Decorating, smells, cooking all make this a special time of year for everyone.
I love getting out my vintage decorations and making my home super cozy!!

Hello Jeanne!
There are oh so many things that speak to me as extra special during the holidays; especially, on Christmas Day. Much of it is in the air, so to speak. So much beauty & magic filled w/ wonder & excitement that leads into this gorgeous, peaceful vibe that fills my Christmas Day w/…well…it’s completely different from any other day of the year. Their is this stillness & quiet that vibrates all around & w/in, filling me w/ a different kind of peace…it’s the energy of “all is calm, all is bright.” It’s as if the world has stopped to breathe….all.at.once.
I treasure that time of year. We start w/ Christmas Eve over at my in~laws…17 of us, 9 are children…it’s mostly about the children, & enjoying family togetherness & of course, good food. I delight in watching each of the children (16 yrs old, down to 2 yrs) open their gifts. I’m usually smiling ear to ear in joy of their excitement, my heart overflowing w/ much love. I love the coziness of my family being together on Christmas Day. It’s easy & stress free w/ just the 3 of us + our cat. We usually sleep in….even my son. I change into my Christmas pjs for the day, then pop a quiche into the oven that bakes while we open our presents. Our day is light & relaxing….filled w/ quality time enjoying Christmas music, Christmas movies, fave fresh baked goodies, phone calls to a couple of loves who aren’t nearby, & most years, snow…it’s full of peace, love, joy, & togetherness, just the way we like.
Thank you so much for your super generous opportunity!! Many gorgeous blessings ~H?~
Being around my family is what makes me feel special during the holidays!
No matter how things go for you the rest of the year, there is something about the holidays. It has to be the traditions that I do every year — baking/cooking certain recipes, sharing these items with friends & family, decorating the house — just making it a little more “special”.
Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot in the e-course — there is always room for more traditions!

I love the anticipation and build up to Christmas and always hate when it ends. It’s all the little things and traditions that support the spirit of the season, and sharing all of it with family and friends that make it special. Thank you for the opportunity to win an entry to your course and for all of the efforts that went into it!
What makes me feel special during the holidays is being with my mom, my 4 sisters and their children and grandkids. We rent a house about half way between all of our homes and stay together for a long weekend – playing board games, cooking the Christmas dinner, waking up with coffee (or diet coke) around the breakfast table, and sharing lots of laughs. By the way, we range in age from 78 to 2 years old and it creates priceless memories for all of us.

I CAN’T WAIT to take this course!!!
At Christmas time I love all of the lights — candles, tree lights, indoors and out. I love curling up under a blanket with my tea and just relaxing. I can’t wait 🙂
I love the soul of Christmas — the tree, the lights, the food, the family.

Oh how I would LOVE to win a spot-this class looks so amazing!! I love to welcome friends in-especially at Christmas as we celebrate the Savior’s birth!! Thanks for the giveaway-squeal!!
The smells, food, lights, and warmth inside my home when it’s cold outside are some of my favorite things about Christmas. But my favorite thing is watching everyone around me doing nice things for each other.
Family and friends. And I love to decorate for Christmas. All my ornaments evoke a memory.
Hosting friends & family at the holidays makes me happiest!
I love being with my family during the holidays and sharing meals, decorating, baking, going to church. I love having our traditions that we all enjoy together.

The most special part of summer is the opportunity to slow down, enjoy long warm days by the beach with family and friends, being present and appreciating the gift of slowing down and changing routines for a little while.

Since we have been empty nesters, I have not really gone ‘all out’ for the holidays. Now with a new granddaughter, I want to bring back all the family traditions and show her how her mommy & aunt grew up…baking treats, gingerbread houses and all the special memories, decorating and festivities of the season. She was born in May so this will be her first Halloween, Thanksgiving & of course Christmas. She lives in AZ and we are in IL so every second we spend together will be precious! I love pinterest and have ‘pinned’ the workshop. My daughter is also a pinterest addict! I would love to win one of the spots, thanks 🙂
Creatively Made Home was one of my favorite e-courses ever! I would love to win this new e-course….thanks so much for the chance to win!

Making and receiving handcrafted gifts with my husband and children!
Oops! I forgot to mention what makes me feel special during the holidays….well, being with family and carrying on our traditions every year is what really makes the holidays for me. But this year will be even more special because it will be my grandson’s very first Christmas with us…I can’t wait!!!
I just blogged about the course!
It’s the sights, the smells (love Christmas scents!), the music, etc and how much friendlier everyone seems to be that time of year. Thanks for the chance to win!!
I also pinned it on my “For Entertaining” board because that’s where I really need help… learning to open my home more to others even when it’s not “perfect” and spotless!
One of my favorite things about the holidays are the special childhood memories of Christmas with my parents and grandparents – and the hope that I can create special memories for my children, too. I’d love to win a place in your course, Jeanne, thanks for the chance!
Loved your first Creatively Made Home class so I know I will love this one as well! Thanks Jeanne and friends!
My family loves everything about Christmas time. The lights, the scents, and the spirit of giving, make all we do in this season even more special. Cookie decorating parties and handmade gifts top the list. Thank you for the chance to win. I loved your Creatively Made Business Course so I know I will love this as well.

The best thing I love about Christmas is that it brings to the forefront the richness of traditions from Christmas’s past and incorporating them into our traditions. I covet the historical traditions from families from the 1940’s and before. A generation no longer available to us (or to me). Recipes only made once a year.
excited about this class! looks incredible! pinned it!!
What I love most about the holidays are the ways the stores make me feel. I love all the holiday windows and the hustle and bustle….I love the holiday foods and I love just hanging with my family and close friends!!! Such a happy happy time!
Being in my kitchen or studio with my family creating beautiful or tasty things that will surely become wonderful holiday memories is my favorite part of the holidays. I look forward to that this year…like a kid a Christmas!

🙂
My favorite thing about Christmas is to focus on Jesus story of his birth, my time with family, and our usual vacation somewhere warm basking in the sun, and truly relaxing and enjoying one another. I have spent so many frantic years trying to do it all, that I was sick over the Holidays year after year. After I lost my Mom to cancer, being away from the hustle and bustle in a warm place with the two most important people in the world, just helped me cope with her loss during those first years without her.
Your course looks awe inspiring, and with our daughter now in college, our family trip funds are spent helping her with school. It’s time to get inspired to once again decorate and celebrate in snowy MN over the Holidays. I’d love to be a winner. I’ve purchased about 9 of your classes recently, so to win would be awesome.
What I love is being the only “girl” in my family of brothers, sons & grandson. They think whatever decorating with for the Holidays is special. It isn’t really, they st don’t know any differently. 🙂 Love them, & love the Holidays. I’ve pared down so much, but why not “go big” again even tho we’re now in a wee cottage?! There are some very lucky girls out there waiting to win! I hope I’m one of them! 🙂
I just pinned the classto Pinterest.
And I’ve now posted the class on my Facebook page: Sheila Doohan-Earhart. 🙂

My absolute favorite are family, friends ,the music of the season..Would love to win a spot in the class, thanks for the chance,
I think the holiday season begins for us in October with our birthdays and anniversary happening in one week..then we ramp up for a big family Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are so many traditions we enjoy; but what really makes the season special (besides the obvious Christ reason) is that it is a time we give ourselves permission to slow down and really enjoy one another and just being out and about. People are more friendly and relaxed it seems. Wish that feeling would last throughout the year!
My favorite “thing” about Christmas is baking cookies with my daughter. She’s a teenager, but she still enjoys being in the kitchen with me, preparing the dough (and eating it!!), baking and then the first taste. Usually the cookies are all gone when Christmas comes around.
I always start longing for the joy Christmas brings to my heart right around the end of August…so this stopped me in my tracks this morning!!!
One thing that makes me feel especially connected with my family and the season is playing Christmas music. Old classics and instrumentals and new takes on oldies-but-goodies and brand spanking new songs and lyrics all work for me!
…and I pinned the course, also!!!
What makes it special for me over Christmas when my family is all home and we get to slow down and not rush so much. This year my goal is to have everything ready so when school is out we just play and enjoy
The holidays for me are about traditions new and old. I love having my husband, kids, and grandkids here to celebrate with us. This new e-course looks great.
Christmas time brings me back to the time when my children, both boys, ages 28 and 33 were small.
On Christmas morning, my older son would sneak downstairs very early in the morning around 5 a.m. And then would scamper gleefully to my room to announce that Santa made his annual visit. As I would arise, my son would go get his brother so they could both make their entrance into the living room filled with presents from Santa.
I would go downstairs first, so I could capture the look of wonderment on both my boys faces as they would enter the room with my camera. I still get that warm, fuzzy feeling when I remember the look of glee on both of my boys faces at that very moment. Even though they are both grown and out of the nest, Christmas morning brings me back to those precious memories. I can still see those
little boys diving into their presents, wrapping paper everywhere, and our precious beagle pup rolling around in the mounds of paper and ribbon.
These are memories that I will always hold dear in my heart and will never fade.
The music and yummy baked goods during the holidays makes it so magical for me and reminds me of my childhood spending Christmas with my grandparents. The decorations add to the magic and the traditions of putting them out on display that I now share with my 5 year old daughter. Unwrapping each ornament or placing things on the table is like a new surprise since I forget each year certain special things I have made or collected over the years.
Tradition, that’s what makes family and our holidays are loaded with them. Baking pies and candies, caroling, reading the christmas story in the book of Luke.
I love the Christmas season for so many joyous reasons. I love pulling out all my decor and remembering where each piece comes from and the story behind it. I love the times we fellowship together at this time of year. I love the special holidays when I have All my children and their families together. The most meaningful part of Christmas for me is going to church on Christmas eve and sitting near the back of the church during the candle lighting and singing of silent night. Nothing can compare to the spreading of the light of Jesus through the lighting of each candle and it’s glow throughout the sanctuary.
I shared on pinterest and also on Facebook.
My Christmas experience is different from most others. If you could picture Christmas at an orphanage. In a home styled just like an old farm house with a French twist. I rescue dogs and rehabilitate their behaviors so that they can be adopted. Otherwise, these types of dogs don’t have a chance, they are euthanized by shelters daily. No one applies for dogs to adopt in December. Everything slows down and the group I have left in December are here with me right to early February when people again become interested in getting a dog. So, its me and the maybe 15 dogs of every size for the entire holiday season including new years. I do the same things as everyone else, make home cozy and warm, moms bake cookies, I bake doggie cookies, Each gets a wrapped gift and they open it themselves. Generally a smoked bone, Doggie treats are hung on the 2 ft tree and we put down several 6″ foamies wall to wall in the livingroom and all sleep together with the fire burning. I stay in my nightie all day and just make sure every dog is spoiled. These dogs come from horrible places, they come in badly abused, burned, stabbed, and beaten. For the holiday season, I try to take all of their past out of their minds and just let them have everything. Best steaks, turkey, even homemade ice cream changed a bit to be healthy for them. I don’t spend my Christmas with anyone, just the rescue dogs and its been the best Christmases Ive ever had. Its a dogs holiday, might be a lot of work for me but they love it and they are worth it. We eat Christmas dinner on my special Doultan dishes. Table cloth down on the foamies and there we sit, each with a dish including me! Last Christmas I took in 2 wolves and after the holiday was over, so too was their wild nature. They were far more trusting after the closeness we all had together over the holiday. This year I have room to be boarding dogs while people go away and will have these dogs join right in our DOG Christmas’s and the funds made sure do help me get the rescue bills paid. I encourage everyone to really include your animals in your Christmas. No, they don’t know what the holiday means but they do feel how happy you area and this makes them feel good. As well they love the food and great mood of everyone there. So it is special for them. They feel closer to their family. But if you are a stress case over the holiday, just send me your dog for the holiday lol
Christmas is a quiet and reflective time for me and my life revolves around my church activities. One of my favorite things to do is fill my coffee table with as many candles as possible. Then I put my CD of the Messiah on, light the candles without no other light, and sit on the sofa holding my dog. I think about all the things in my life for which I feel gratitude and spend the time praising God for allowing His Son to live and die for me. It truly is a holy time for me.
