I leave for France on Friday.
There were so many things I was going to do and learn before the trip.
Do you do that?
I swore I was going to truly learn French….that did not happen.
I know a few things but where did the time go?

It doesn't feel REAL yet.
I don't think it will really feel real until my feet are on French soil.

I fly all night to arrive in Paris on Saturday morning.
From Paris I will catch a train (with Jackie and Rachel) and head to the South of France (as I am typing this I can not believe that I am truly going to France).
I will then spend the next seven days at a chateau…yes, you read that correctly….enjoying all the beauty of the area.
Architecture, sunflower fields, markets, food, textile mills……I can. not. wait.
After the seven days I will take a train back to Paris and spend the next three days exploring Paris.

I am the most excited to just walk the streets and photograph to my heart's content.
If you love photography you KNOW what I am talking about!
Traveling is a part of who I am….I long for it.
I love exploring new places and there are so many places that I want to see.

My little family has made many sacrifices to make this trip a reality and I have worked hard to make this dream come true too.
I wish I could take you all along and share this with you.
I can't wait to come home and share my adventure with you through the photographs I will take.
This will be the longest I have ever been away from my children and husband and truth be told…I have been a little weepy the past couple days.
I know that I will be ok once I get on the plane…but I will miss them so much while I am gone!
It brings me so much joy and peace to know that they will all be waiting for ME at the airport twelve days later.
I am so Excited for you. I know you will have a fabulous time in PARIS! Can’t wait to read all about it, and drool over your fabulous pictures 😉
Praying for a safe trip!
Many Blessings,
Molly
I do wish I had gone to the south of France…I spent my 10 days in Paris. I loved the Vanves flea market…it was smaller that the larger Ouen and the prices were much much better. So much to see in Paris…bon voyage!

How exciting! You will certainly come back with a plethora of gorgeous photos! I remember when my mom went to Europe on vacation and it was just me and my dad. I was sad at 9 years old, but he made it fun. I knew she was having a good time and the reunion was oh-so-wonderful!

Hi! I found your site from the latest issue of Artful Blogging – wow – what a site you have here!!! Have a wonderful time in Paris – I have been there a few times – it is my favorite city in the world!! Au revoir!!
Dear Jeanne, I am wishing you the most wonderful and amazing trip to France. You will absolutely love it there, I can guarantee you that. I lived in Paris for three years in the early 90’s, and I can tell you that there are many things that I miss – just walking in the streets, the cafes, the parks (spent a lot of time in Jardin du Luxembourge) the art, the architecture, the food, the flowers… sigh….
Have a blast! I was just there and it was INCREDIBLE. I strongly recommend going to the flea markets in Paris.
So looking forward in hearing about all your adventures!!! :)))
Are you going to Chateau Dumas with Kaari? I went last year, and I can promise that you will love your week there! (You can see my amateur photos from my trip on my blog, last July.)
As I type this you have already been gone over a week ~ but I wanted to chime in and say I hope you are having a truly wonderful time and I cannot wait to see all your wonderful photo’s when you get home!
Whew! What a blessed time you must be having, Jeanne! I’m so far behind in blog reading that it’s almost time for you to come home. Have a beautiful flight!
: )
Julie M.
have an absolutely brilliant trip!!!!
