1. Vintage Copper Pots. I associate my copper pots with making our home smell incredible! Whether we are making a big pot of soup or one of our favorite simmer pot recipes is on the stove, our copper pots are well used and loved. As I find special additional pieces over the years I love to give them to some of my close friends. I know they will also treasure them for years to come! My favorite place to find vintage restored copper is Rabbit Hill Farm.

2. Espresso Maker. Our hearts belong to Italy and we are always trying to find little and big ways to honor our rhythm in Italy when we come back to the states. One of the many ways we have done this is with afternoon cappuccinos (I know, I know…we are not supposed to have them after 11am). We take a a break in the afternoon, pull out a few of our favorite Italian pottery cups, make our coffee and sit in the sun (if we can). It is a sweet reminder of a place we love so much but also the beauty and rest that is all around us if we look for it. You can find the espresso maker we have HERE.

3. Noguchi Paper Lantern. One of these paper lanterns adds so much sculpture and art into any space. If you can find a vintage one you are extra blessed but you can find new ones at the Noguchi Museum.

4. Handmade Pottery. I mentioned above that we use our favorite Italian coffee cups during our afternoon cappuccino breaks. We are constantly using these cups created by Studio Pepa from along Lake Como. We treasure them and they always bring back so many memories of our friends at Dispense 63.

5. Art Books. My number one item that I give to others is a vintage book that I find on my travels. I will often find vintage books online and then find them less expensive on Ebay or Amazon. I also highly recommend that you try used bookstores like McKay’s Books in Nashville. I have come home with a suitcase of beautiful old art books for a few dollars each.

6. Wine. After spending years traveling I have found that the food, coffee, wine etc. is cleaner in Europe and things that I choose not to have here in the US I can enjoy (and feel great) in Europe. One of the ways we enjoy low alcohol and no sugar clean wine from Europe is Dry Farms Wine. We LOVE this product and give it often as a gift. Dry Farms Wine.

7. Original Art. Whether it is a vintage painting, handmade pottery, a sketch or a new work of art…giving art is one of my favorite things to give and receive! I love seeing images of a friend’s home and see them still enjoying a piece I gave them years ago! This piece is from Diane Reeves. We have three pieces in our home by Diane and they make such an impact.

8. Candles. I am a sucker for the soft light of a good candle and it will always be one of the easiest gifts to give for the home. I am always looking for clean candles with only natural scents. I find that lighting a candle has become a bit of a ritual before I read a book, have a cup of coffee, sit after dinner and talk with family or at the dinner table. You can find the candles shared HERE.
