I am loving sharing fall inspiration this past week and we will keep sharing through Thanksgiving.

I am peeking ahead for today because I have been fortunate to be included in the Farmhouse Holiday Series and today we are sharing our kitchens dressed up for the holidays and also sharing a favorite recipe.

Leading up to Thanksgiving and into Christmas the house just FEELS cozier.

I love the extra textures, the smells, the baking and preparing.

I love the gathering!

I thought a holiday tea would be an easy and pretty way to share how gathering during the holidays doesn’t have to be a big event. It can be intimate invitations with some of your favorite people. Simple gatherings are some of the sweetest ways to tell those that you love how special they are to you. I would take an invitation to spend time together and to catch up over a gift any day! What about you?

This post is sponsored by HomeGoods. We found everything we needed at HomeGoods to create this beautiful and intimate tea!

One of our favorite and EASY recipes is Cherry Clafoutis. The kids make this on their own (and our Maddy made this one).

Cherry Clafoutis

1/2 stick butter, melted, plus more for baking dish
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, plus more for baking dish
1 pound fresh or frozen pitted cherries
1/2 cup sugar (we used Stevia)
Pinch salt
4 eggs
1 cup milk (we used half and half)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 lemon, zested
Powdered sugar

Butter and lightly dust with flour (we used gluten free) a 7 by 5-inch baking dish
Add the cherries to the baking dish
In a bowl add sugar (we used Stevia), flour and salt and mix until blended.  In a large bowl combine the eggs, milk, vanilla, butter and lemon zest until blended (if you have brandy on hand it is delicious with a few Tablespoons). Add all of the ingredients together and pour over the cherries.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
Dust with powdered sugar if you wish.

If you love holiday tablescapes as much as we do I would love to have you check out our brand new (instantly available) online course Holiday DIY Tablescape with designer and artist Jen Wagner.  This course is $18 with lifetime* access.
