Welcome to our home!
I am so excited that you are here.
First of all I wanted to thank my sweet friend, Jennifer Rizzo, for asking me back this year to show you our home all dressed up for Christmas.
I love that Jen puts this house walk together and it is such a fun way to get inspired for the holidays (and to get my act together and get my house decorated early:-)).
I know you have been loving the past two days of houses and I am as excited as you are to see the rest of the homes this week.
If you are coming over from the beautiful blog of Susie Harris please grab a cup of coffee and settle in because I have lots of photos to show you!
If you have not checked out Susie’s home please click below!
We live in Castle Rock, Colorado in a 10 year old home that we built.
We are gradually adding custom touches to bring the character of an old house…to our new house.
My husband and I have three children and you will find their touches all throughout our home…just the way we love it.
I hope you enjoy your peek around.

Love all your beautiful decorations and your home. Adore your poofball wreath and where did you find that wonderful Peace sign on your mantel? I had to smile as it looks beautiful from your makeover from the Workshop class online. Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much! The metal sign was purchased years ago at a local store. They are no longer even in business. I would try Etsy to see if anyone makes something similar. I love it.
Love,love,love your home!
Just gorgeous! I am such a fan of your beautiful style and all your creative touches.
Thank you so much! My kids teased that we brought a forest in:-)
gorgeous!!!!!
love it all my friend, love it all!
merry christmas
Thank you sweet friend!
Jeanne!
I love your home all decked out for Christmas!! You’ve spared no detail, and it shows. I especially love the wreath that looks like it’s made from large white pom poms. 🙂
The sign looks fab in your house….love that you have it!
I love it too and I love that it is the first thing you see when you come in our home!
Beautiful as always Jeanne! Your details are so pretty and photos tell a beautiful story of comfort & love. Can’t wait to see the new line! Jen
Thank you Jen! I am grabbing my coffee and heading over to your house next:-)
Hi. Is your front door red as well as your screen? Our front door is similar red and I’ve been stumped what color to do a screen door. Thanks! Lovely home!
Yes it is. We bought the screen door at Home Depot and painted it the same color as the door. We love it.
One of my very favorite places in blogland! Your home is just beautiful.
That is so nice! Thank you!
JEANNE!! IT. is. gorgeous!!! all your creams and neutrals with all the greens with makes my heart happy! so my style. i love using nature in my decorating and i love neutral colors. beautiful!! thanks for the look around.
Thank you! I can’t help myself with the greenery and the smell isn’t too bad either:-)
oh hi. i’m back. just wondering about those silhouettes on your handrail and your gifts under the trees. i love them!! did you print them? buy somewhere? draw them? love that idea! let me know…really excited about those. can ya tell? is it that obvious? 😉
Yes, I made them. I hand carved the stamps and then made my own tags, wrapping etc. I am teaching in Christy Tomlinson’s Christmas course how to do it and you can still sign up. If is so fun (and addicting:-))
https://jeanneoliver.com/the-12-artsy-ornaments-of-christmas-no-2/
i took it last year and loved it! you just convinced me to do it again 😉 gonna go sign up!! thanks, girl!
Love your beautiful home…noticed an area on the wall with pictures in your kitchen (but can’t see it very well)…do you use some sort of plate rack to hold Christmas cards?
Hello! Yes, I have a wall display rack for cards etc that I keep up all year around with my favorite photos I have printed from Instagram (using Postal Pix), quotes etc. At Christmas time I use it to put up our Christmas cards. I think I bought it years ago from Sadie Olive.
your house is gorgeous! and I NEED that blanket your daughter is curled up in! it looks heavenly!
~ becky
That blanket is so heavenly (and heavy:-)). I bought it from Anthropologie a few years ago once it went on clearance.
What a beautiful home! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping over!
Your home is beautiful! Can you share where the aged “love is patient”sign can be found? Love that;)
Yes! Just follow the house tour after mine…she makes them:-)
You have an absolutely beautiful home, Jeanne! The Christmas decorations just enhance it!
Thank you. That is so nice of you!
Every single thing is elegance mixed with comfort – just what a home should be. Thank you so much for opening your home to us. Take care, Laura
Thank you! That is exactly how we want it to feel. Have a wonderful day.
Your home is just beautiful. I love seeing it all decorated for Christmas, so warm and cozy!
XO
Kristin
Thank you. We are loving it too. Nothing beats the tree lights!
Loveliness everywhere in your home!! Thank you for the beautiful photos.
Can you believe you were able to get it clean after all being sick:-)?
Simply beautiful! Elegant, comfortable, just the right touch! The afghan your daughter is under looks simply amazing! I signed up for the course when I discovered you were doing a session on carving…. something I loved as a child and my husband has encouraged me to start up again! 🙂 do you mind if I ask where you got your carving tools? a little bird told me to check into it for either a christmas present or a birthday present. i’m hoping its for christmas… 🙂
Thank you so much! I bought all of my carving tools at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I hope you love the course.
Absolutely beautiful!! Love every image!
Thanks for looking!
I just love your home all decked out for Christmas Jeanne! I enjoyed seeing your home during the Creatively Made Home e-course and this is just a wonderful bonus. I really liked how you included your children in the photos, because that’s what Christmas is all about. That afghan Maddie is all wrapped up in is AMAZING! And like Heather commented above, I spied the plate rack/card display off to the side of your kitchen. What a great idea! My favorite though is using the birdcage for the manger in the nativity scene. Thanks so much for sharing your holiday home with us!
xo
jeanne
Thank you! I was hoping all of you that were in my course wouldn’t be sick of seeing my house photos by now:-) I love that afghan too! I recently found that vintage birdcage from one of my favorite shops in the area (Dwell). It is from 1905 and so sweet. I love the combination of the wood of the cage with the nativity too. Have a great day!
What a beautiful home. Love all the fresh, natural decorations. You are very blessed.
Thank you. Don’t I know it:-)
That’s it…… I’m moving in! What a wonderful, cozy, happy home you have made! Happy Holidays! xoxo
Bring the family:-)
Absolutely beautiful. The lighting in your home is so pretty. Lovely decor and colors.
Want to know the trick to the lighting? We took out all of the downstairs screens:-) Brightens up the whole house!
So pretty. The chalkboard turned out so cute. Hope you all are feeling better.
Thanks. We are definitely getting there!
Thank you Jeanne for sharing your home decorated for the holidays. It is all so very lovely! I love your elements of the natural and yoru collection of clocks! I hope that you and your family have a very blessed holiday!
Thank you! You too!
Simply beautiful!
So glad you took a peek!
Others have said it better than I, but I will reiterate, lol – what a beautiful, cozy, warm, elegant home you have. I want to shamelessly copy your style 🙂 So many beautiful things beautifully presented, sigh. Is that a Willow Tree nativity? I have a semi-collection of nativity sets, and that one is on my list. And if you don’t mind my asking, what type of Christmas tree do you have? I love trees that have the space between the branches so I can show off my bigger ornaments and lots of garland.
Thanks so much for sharing, and I’m so glad I found you … I will be lurking around now for sure 🙂
Patty
Thank you! Yes, it is a Willow Tree nativity. I wish I could remember the kind of tree. We bought it fresh and I asked but it was right after the flu so I was walking around in a fog:-) We bought it specifically because of the spacing between the branches. Thanks for stopping by.
What a stunning, cozy home. Thank you for opening it up to us. May I ask what color is on your family room walls?
Like the previous commenter said, I’m certainly going to be lurking around here for the time to come.
Kim
Thank you ! The living room color was a custom mix. Sherwin Williams mixed it for me. I will try to find the lid and scan the “recipe” for you.
Oh thank you so much. I would really appreciate that. It seems we also do the same thing with paint colors. Must mean I am picky or missed my calling working for Sherwin Williams? 🙂
Everything looks gorgeous my friend!!! Amazing that you did all that after having a sick family {I won’t mention the you know what again} :)) Seriously, I love everything!!!
xo
It was a Christmas miracle! I can’t wait to see your home tomorrow!
Absolutely Stunning! Everything about your home, echo’s your beautiful creative spirit. Thank You for sharing Sweet Jeanne:)
I adore you Carol! You are always so generous with me!
Miss Oliver,
You have a lovely home during the holidays. I see that you made cocoa for the two of us- so nice of you to find a mug with my initial on it as well! I am wondering if you would mind sending me that gorgeous blanket and please include the beautiful young lady when sending. You are welcome to deliver them yourself~
x
I waited for you all day with my hot cocoa for two. Awkward!
I love all of your touches Jeanne! I think the bench is perfect there! I am so glad you could be a part of the housewalk and bring your beauty to it.
Thank you! I loved being a part of it again this year. Thanks for including me!
sweet, sweet, jeanne. love it all. merry christmas!!
Can’t wait to be at your house for Christmas Eve.
OMGosh, I totally enjoyed your tour. Your home is darling. I love it. Thank you for having me over Ü
Thank you for coming! Isn’t this fun?
Very pretty! I love all the soft colors!

Thank you. We repainted most of the house this summer and really love the change.
It’s beautiful friend. Love all the little touches. Very holiday and cozy…very you:)
Thank you! I hope there is a day soon when you are back in our home!
Thank you for sharing your home in all its Christmas finery. I love the greenery and white. Your love for family and home shines.
Thank you. That is the nicest compliment!
Your home is GORGEOUS! (I can’t imagine having white furniture with no kids at home, much less with kids…)
Thank you! Our chair and sofa are both slipped covered which makes them very easy to clean. They are also a light pinstripe cream and that probably helps too.
I love your traditional tree! I always try to find a very open and sparse tree and get laughed at since most people like them really full. The entire house is Gorgeous!
Thank you. We went on a mission to find that more sparse tree:-) We all love it too.
Thank you for welcoming us to your home. Lovely.
One question: Is that carpet in your studio? 🙂
Oh, and how do you like black counter tops?
ok so that was 2 questions!
There is but we are tearing it out this winter and replacing it with wood because of all the painting I do. I have been lucky to only have a few stains at this point:-) I really like our black countertops. They work really well with our cabinets and even if we ever paint out cabinets they black will look good.
Hi Jeanne,
I absolutely love your home. Everything about it. I am seriously going to do a big de-clutter after Christmas. I would love to try and create anything similar to your home. I also really like the style of Sara at Sadie Olive. I am saving this post for sure!
your home is soooooo perfectly beautiful;!!!!
So beautiful Jeanne! It was such fun to visit:)
Thanks for coming by!
Oh I just love everything!! The front screen door and the old sled are just beautiful!! Every room looks so warm and cozy:) Did you do any decorating with your dough bowl?? Have a Blessed hoilday seanson!!
Can’t wait to see your new line!!!
I didn’t yet but I really like decorating our Christmas table with the dough bowl full of candles and greenery.
I know we shouldn’t have favorites… but…. YOUR home is my favorite so far – one day to go. 🙂 Where did you get the beautiful knit throw your daughter is snuggled in?
That is so nice especially with all the beautiful homes in the walk! Thank you! I bought the throw at Anthropologie a few years ago (on a good sale).
Comfortable & beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration
Beautifully represented. Loved its white simplistic aerie feeling
Thank much for Shari g
Aloha from Maui

Funny story – I’ve been online looking for the perfect pair of riding boots, and as soon as I clicked on your blog I couldn’t believe it…you are wearing the exact boots I’ve had in my mind but cannot seem to find!! (I know you know what that’s like – haha!) Wondering where you got them?
Many thanks – and looking forward to lots of inspiration from your blog..: )

Wow, everything looks absolutely beautiful and so inviting! I truly enjoyed my tour of your lovely home and holiday decorations.
My heart skips a beat every time I see your window seat. And that knitted throw … gorgeous! I want to wrap myself up in it. I also love your tree – it’s different, which is what makes it so appealing. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
