Thank you!
Good morning and thank you for the avocado dye bath instructions. You are most generous! I’m looking forward to trying the technique.
You must have read my mind!
I literally just went to your site yesterday, to one of your older classes, to find out how you used avocados to dye fabric!
Thank you so much for this PDF. Perfect timing and perfect to have on hand!!
Love this! Had no clue that avocado would leave the material pink. Do you need to use any kind of fixative to set the color?
You do not need a fixative. It has a natural mordant.
Thanks a lot for this nice ebook and beautiful art, as always, Jeanne !
I tried the technique (with tea) some time ago, and tied up the fabrics to get variations, i loved the results.
I’d like to get deep muted purples and wonder what plant or fruit or else could produce that … No doubt I will find on the internet !
Thanks again and have a great time in France !
Hi, after my previous response, I started thinking if one could use papers in the solution. Have you tried anything like that with the avocado dye? I use a lot of papers in my collages and would love to see what happens, but I thought I’d ask you first. Thank you!
Hello! Yes, I use this dye to even “paint” with. I have definitely used the dye bath to dye papers. Can’t wait to see what you do!
