I currently have a stack of clothes piled high on a suitcase. As I think of something I will need for my teaching trip in Italy I throw another item on the pile. I leave on Thursday and I have yet to sort, iron, take items away etc. I will take one suitcase for clothes and then a smaller suitcase for my art supplies and kits for the class.
I do this enough that last minute I have to quickly come to reason about the person I THINK I will be when I travel and the person I will really be. That takes the pile down in half.
My carry-on will also have my leather notebook full of fresh paper, good writing pens and pencils (can’t live without them), a book I have been anxious to read, my headphones for music, and a sketchbook/simple watercolor set/graphite and water brush.
A flight from here to there. I don’t usually watch movies and I rarely hook up to wi-fi. It is exactly what I need before landing and having my eyes open to the beauty of another place.
So, when I was thinking about what to share for this month I knew I wanted to share things that just made me smile, be present or made me want to slow down. Below are some of my favorites from this month.

We are currently in process of moving to Tennessee at this time but I would like to stay in touch with your future classes.
