About a month ago my friend Kim shared a website with me that I had never seen.
What Katie Ate is a foodie blog by Katie Quinn Davies.
From the moment I saw it I was mesmerized.
In fact, I wanted to live in the blog and perhaps roll around naked in a few of the recipes.
I do not regulary photograph food…but the way she stages and photographs will inspire you no matter what you love to shoot through the lens.
Everything from the very original way she shares her recipes to the typography she chooses.
I ooh and aah through every post and it makes my mind go a mile a minute with so many new ideas for my own line of clothing and art.
Isn’t that amazing how that works!
I can look at beautifully photographed food and it gives me ideas for photographing my own lines of clothing and ways I want to express myself on my blog.
One of the best pieces of practical advice that I heard while at Alt was to look outside your area of expertise or knowledge for inspiration.
That doesn’t mean copy…it means find things that INSPIRE!
Inspired ideas are those beautiful ideas that open your mind and heart to all of the original ideas inside yourself.
Where are you finding inspiration lately?
Those are amazing photos, and I love good food blogs!
I have to tell you that my oldest daughter called me today and said, “Mom, I found the coolest mixed media artist on Etsy, and I know you would LOVE her work!” We went for a hike today, and took photos, and when we got back to my house, she pulled up the Etsy site… guess who it was? YOU! It made me smile… I said, ‘That’s sweet Jeanne, one of those most amazing women I’ve met!” So happy for where your journey is taking you!! Congrats on all your accomplishments!
Oh Jeanne, this site is really awesome. Well done…and I am glad the music made it over to here as well…many times I will turn your blog on and just let it play…
Keep growing girl!
We usually turn to art when seeking inspiration…street art, classical art, modern art, children’s art. It’s nice to turn to things outside of our expertise because you can just enjoy it without any pressures.
your new little place here is gor.ge.ous. very inspiriing. inspiring–meaning in spirit, that will always bring out the real you in you:) playing in the kitchen a lot lately. scents are inspiring me lately. who knew? 🙂 have a wonderful day!!!!
your new blog is beautiful!
I Love the clean, peaceful slate of your new blog…can’t wait to see what you share here…I get so inspired “traveling” with you on you journeys…thank you and God Bless!
What inspires me? How about who? You do! And Sara’s design{sadieolive}…your new blog is beyond beautiful! Love it:)
Divine!!
I am inspired most right now by feelings – of growth, of change, of security. (Also, all I see outside my window is snow, so it’s nice to be able to turn inward every now and then for inspiration.)
Your new website is gorgey. The only thing that could improve it would be a large banner of your pigtails up at the top. 🙂
Hi Jeanne… your new blog is beautiful! So is this post.
I’m headed over to What Katie ate right now!
your blog looks beautiful… I can not wait to explore around!!!
Love THIS..Love YOU…go, go, go Jeanne!!!

Your new home is very beautiful. Congratulations on such a gorgeous change.
Just this morning I was praying for wisdom that I would be able to learn how to be more ‘techy’, even to do simple things like change my banner/header. I have read “Blogging for Bliss” twice and it is beginning to make sense :o) I’ll get there!
Oh Jeanne your new sight
is gorgeous!!!!! Outstanding….okay ,I’m so inspire right now about shades of paint and
I’ve been on the fence about revamping by blog and now I am so jumping to breath freshness into it!!
Thank you for the push,
LuLu
