I have noticed a lot lately that it is really all the little things that make life so sweet.
An evening with friends.
Staying in bed all day to read a wonderful book.
Not worrying about impressing…just picking up food at Costco on the way to the party.
Working out after the third baby (that is not a baby anymore…he is 2 1/2) and seeing results for all of the hard work.
Wearing a dress that has not fit in two years!
Laughing. Laughing a lot…we are good at that around here.
What are your little things lately?
We must have been thinking along the same lines as I realized the other day that I am not laughing as much as I used too. I am now making it a point to find more humor in each day. For me a real feel good was finally cleaning out my drawers and cupboards in my bathroom. I wonder if a moisture from 1998 is still good. 🙂
xoxo
tickling my baby and hearing his giggles, dancing in the kitchen to KC & The Sunshine band while I make dinner, tv night with the husband, and yes-laughing!! 🙂
You look too cute in those photos!!
Honestly, I have been feeling down lately, so I am unable to come up with anything off the top of my head. You look adorable in those pics! Way to go on the working out! You go girl!!!
You’re so cute – love the pictures! I think working out can make you feel great all around (so, I guess I should get back to doing it…). Lots of stress around here lately, but the little things would be – how the light looks in the mornings, my daughter completely cleaning her room yesterday (not being asked to, just doing it, down to sweeping the floor), picking plums off our tree, my kids offering to make dinner tonight (and clean up) and going to Alameda with John this coming Sunday.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and photos (what fun). I too have been blessed lately by what could seem like the little things:
walks with Lizzie, our dog; a great conversation over dinner with my husband; being in awe of our Creator’s handiwork; laughter from our grandchildren… so many special details that make life rich and my heart thankful:)
Okay you are such a cutie patootie!!!!! Love your little things….. Here are a couple of mine….. I love when my 2 year old says “nosies” mommy…{ he wants eskimo kisses }
Our every night family dinner no matter what we are doing we all eat together and we go around the table and say what we are thankful for in that day…{the kids come up with the cutest things} Finding one thing positive in the day seems to make all the negative wash away. Hugs friend.
My little thing is blogging for bliss and making new friends daily! It is great to me!
Blessings!?
Jeanne, you are so darn cute…what a great list…i LOVE when my 16 year old son calls me “little cutie”…LOL…he started that when he began to tower over me…and i think it is so sweet when my kitty miss gracie will come, sit with me on the couch, and nuzzle up close…she is very shy and skittish…so this is a rare honor indeed…
Just dropping by to say Hi Jeanne!
I am visiting all of the Bella’s blogs and getting to know you! I am enjoying my visit to your blog very much! Let’s see… the little things.. as I am a teacher, I enjoy sleep in days, and I love finding unexpected coupons to my favorite art supply stores, and also seeing a lovely photograph or hearing a wonderful new song!
I am loving the music on your blog!
Wishing you Many Blessings,
Katie
OMGoodness ~ I just visited your etsy shop and I love your creations and your darling fabric choices!!! You are my kind of gal!

You are such a cutie. Love the dress and the tray of food. You totally made me smile.
My little thing recently is a ring I bought on vacation. It says Love Life on the outside and the inside it says Be Brave. I look at it all day!
Thank you for this post, just what I needed to read today. Truly. Thank you.
My little thing is enjoying the summer and not getting all freaked out the I did not get to vaccume before I left on vacation- also enjoying the benefits of working out and wearing clothing that has not been worn in two years! Way too go Jeanne, you look adorable!
Girl, you’re just too cute! Some little things I enjoy are… being able to drink my Starbucks with no screaming kids in the car, listening to the birds splash in the bird bath while I garden (again no kids around to scare the birds away), and snuggling with my little one before she goes off to bed (the only time all day that she isn’t in motion)…
T
what did you have on that costco platter? and good lookin’ legs, momma!=) love that you are making time for working out and you are enjoying the benefits! i love hanging clothes on the line while the girls play outdoors around me, love watching the baby discovering new abilities with giggles and smiles…
Look at how cute you are! Having a list of blogs to read like your’s is one of mine right now. Uninterupted showers. Picking out leotards today for my daughter’s 1st dance class. Definitely finding plenty to laugh about even when things are that funny:)
how fun! these are very good things you’ve listed 🙂
I love piling on the couch with my little fam and watching a good or silly movie.
you’re so right! the kids keep us laughing which is wonderful, it seems we all get giddy in the car 🙂 i’ve always thought it’s the little things that mean the most. one of my favorite little things is when the five of us crawl into out bed at night. we spend a few minutes together cuddling before they go into their own beds. i love it! i made them promise we will still do that even when they get older or until we don’t all fit in the bed!
Sweet post! I JUST found a pretty little yellow snapdragon growing in a pot of lavender…which I’ve yet to plant! Isn’t that happy? I absolutely love snapdragons!

Hi Jeanne 🙂
Congratulations on getting back into the dress! I know how hard it is as I’m in the same struggle once again. My baby is 13 LOL
The little things for me are just enjoying every moment, no matter what it is. Even kids yelling 😉

I love a good belly laugh! Sitting outside to eat in the sun. Watching beautiful sunsets. Singing loud to 80s music with my girlfriends. Acting like a ridiculous, crazy person and embarrassing my sister. When the water off the beach sparkles and the sky is bright blue. Did I say laughing yet? Did I say my sister yet? And I ADORE my girls… except when they’re whining… then someone else can have them. And coffee, coffee, coffee! Oh, and this sweet girl named Jeanne that I met at the farm chicks…
congrats on the dress!
Hi Jeanne,
I just wandered to your blog from a series of clicks and I am enchanted. Congratulations on getting into your dress!
Little things are the best. Two of yours are also two I’ve enjoyed – reading a good book in bed all day and my kitchen at Costco! I also love to cut flowers from my own yard to put in my house, rejoice that I am blessed to live within 30 mins. of the ocean, think the smell of a bookstore is heaven and enjoy laughing at the antics of our nine month old puppy. Just a few of my little things.

Jeanne! Congrats – you’re awesome, and your hard work is WORTH celebrating! (and who said it was a little thing to work out and work HARD to fit into an old dress!?)
Little things for me: tickling my daughter before she goes to bed to get that good belly laugh sailing into dreamland, snuggling with my husband on our date night of dinner and a movie, our friday play dates at our house, cocktails with my girlfriends and grilling in the warm summer night!
Thanks for making me focus on the bright side of the ‘little things’ – they are often overlooked and go unnoticed!!
xoxoxo – to you and your FAB dress!!
(and please pass whatever is on that plate….!)
Jeanne, these pictures are sooo funny…LOVE THEM…so you! little things…hmmm…baby throwing up, eating lunch with homeless people, 40.00 boat rides, playing the longest game of LIFE ever…enjoying a day off..pricless…how cliche was that??? I am such a nerd. Love your post, congrats on fitting into that dress..amen.
Love your little things, Jeanne. This week it’s been taking the three kids to the pool in the afternoon after working all morning (did you know tanned legs look thinner – easier than working out 🙂 p.s. you look great in that cute dress!
