Wood panel board (the size you are the most comfortable with). I will be using 9 x 12 and 16 x 20
Tracing Paper
Carbon Paper
Acrylic paints or gouache in your color palette
Paintbrushes (at least one that is a 2 round)
Blackwing Matte Pencil
General’s peel and sketch SOFT charcoal pencil
Stabilo pencil in black
Clear gesso
White gesso
One colored pencil in a color of your choice
Vintage floral wallpaper images or vintage digital wallpaper visuals
Portrait images to use for inspiration. Some will also be provided

These items are not needed to take the course and are provided based upon the interest from the artists taking the class.
Q: What type of brush did you use to blur the background – it is longer and has a black handle
A: I used a Japanese ink brush but any soft brush will work.
Q: Gray paint you are using to tone the colors
A: Neutral Grey 5

A: This was an inexpensive brush I picked up while traveling. It is a #4 round by Master’s Touch. It is the size that really matters.
