I am constantly in awe of the beauty that is all around me if I have my eyes open to it.
Sometimes I find it in the tension of transition (thank you Craig Cooney for articulating it so well). This will be more of what I share soon as our business is shifting, our home is changing and our day to day rhythm is adjusting too YET we are holding onto sweet promises that have been made. I see glimpses of what is coming but do not see it completely clearly yet. I can’t lie that this is the most peaceful place to be but it is the most promising.
Sometimes I even find it online within this vast and beautiful creative community. This month I wanted to share the story of Black Mountain College. I have found this school fascinating for years and feel free to dive deeper than what I can share here.
My daughter Jen was in school with Hilary, the daughter of artist Dan Rice who attended Black Mountain and later taught there.
Jen has remained good friends with Hilary and I was included in several visits to her home when she lived in Connecticut. The house was purchased bec of the great wall space for her dad’s works which she has been collecting and bringing them back home. They are wonderfully charming and thought provoking at the same time!
I was sorry to have missed the museum’s retrospective of Rice’s work some years back.

This is incredible and so special to have this connection. Thank you so much for taking the time to share!
