I have just returned from teaching a two day art workshop at Daune Pitman’s Tuscan Creative Retreat. I brought lots of watercolors for the women to experiment with and also some of my very well used palettes. The stars of the show were my watercolor palettes that are a custom combination of half pans from Ocean Paper, Wildthorne. and Wallace Seymour. I had so many requests wanting to know exactly what colors were in the palettes. A few years ago I made a short video and then labeled each color for you (and these are the current palettes I still use/refill etc.). I hope this helps you as you pull together you own palette and also encourages you to buy individual pans to create the best palette for yourself!
The two palettes that I have pulled together are a mix of half pans from two different companies for the most part. You will see that one palette is full of more color and then the second palette is more neutral. Some of the same colors are in each palette and you will even see similar names but the pigments are very different because of the pour or the different company. I did the best I could to read the names on the sides of the pans but some were very hard to read so I hope I came close:-)

I so LOVE this .. thank you for sharing – I loved your palette when I saw it in person in Franklin .. can you tell me where you source the wooden box to hold the paints? do you have a favorite? I’m new to all this .. so I want to try to hit it right the first time around lol .. Thank you Jeanne!!
The wooden box was purchased from Ocean Paper many years ago. They no longer carry it but you can find similar watercolor boxes online.
Wonderful. I have followed you for a long time but never looked on Facebook lol. I love watercolor but I can’t do it anymore. My hands are steady enough.

Thank you so much. I’ve been wanting these just like everyone. I can’t wait to try them.
You will love them!
I love Wildthorne water colors. Gritty and beautiful! And lately I’ve enjoyed Intense watercolors especially their Conchineal red.
Thank you for sharing your colors!
is the first pan available as a set for purchase or must I buy separately ?I love the rich gem colors! I don’t watercolor very much but when I do these would be my go to colors. Thank you for always sharing your learnings with us.
You can go to Ocean Paper and you will see many sets that you may love.
You are the best! I was that girl that was obsessed with these in one of your classes! Thank you for letting us play with them.
I am always happy to do that! Thanks!
Beautiful colors! Thank you for swatching them so we could really see the color.
