I had intended on sharing some house updates and the crazy photos of our renovation.
That WAS the plan.
This morning as I was lying in bed, slowly trying to wake up and reading the news of the day I saw this quote on Toby Mac’s FB wall.
“I want the presence of God Himself, or I don’t want anything at all to do with religion… I want all that God has or I don’t want any.” ? A.W. Tozer
Isn’t that sooo good!
As I continued to read I saw that Jen Hatmaker had shared a recent podcast from her church about lent.
I finally got out of bed, grabbed some coffee, grabbed a journal and made myself comfy on the couch.
This message was the best way to start the day.
After two pages of notes with sweet words like…
“To learn to lament is to become a people who stay near the wounds of the world.”
“Change your focus to learn to trust patiently.”
“Lent is about waiting well.”
This message was so good for my heart that I had to push off the house photos until tomorrow.

Some floor photos will be coming tomorrow:-)
“pray the wait” came from a Lenten meditation a number of years back. And, it’s been so good since. While waiting in line…waiting to pick up kids…waiting for a page to load, waiting for the computer to reboot….and so on. Pray the wait. We pray the wait in Lent and those situations just enhance our prayer life throughout the year too.
God bless you. Thank you for you post.
The presence! Amen.
Jen Hatmaker posts just make my day 🙂
