I have a heart for women.
I am constantly amazed at the depth, quality, beauty, talent and strength of women.
I had promised myself when I first started my business that if I ever figured this whole thing out (and I am still learning) that I would share how I did it.
Along the way I have always tried to answer emails, encourage and support other small business owners (and dreamers).
I had questions at the beginning and I wish I had had a person to turn to.
I didn’t have a mentor and I could have really used one.
Not because I wanted to do what they were doing…because I wanted the knowledge and support to follow MY gifts.
I wanted to create a community of women that I can share my heart and journey with and then in turn they will encourage and support one another.
I am so excited to tell you that I have taken all of the best parts of the original Building a Creatively Made Business and have made it even better!
This time around I have asked my good friends (and business owners) Marian Parsons and Jennifer Rizzo to join me.

This seems to be the perfect time for a refresher course for me. After taking your first creatively made business course and putting much of it in practice, circling back and refocusing would be ideal.
So… I have been following Miss Mustard Seed since before she began using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, I have been following Jeanne Oliver since “A bushel and a peck”. Back in those days I ran an online business selling vintage and collectibles as well as painted furniture and home decor.
Today, I am an artisan for a decorative surface design company but the desire to go out on my own has been getting stronger and stronger the past few years. However, I feel stuck because I need to maintain my income while I transition AND I have too many ideas and I am afraid some of them are stale.
I need help! HA!

I would love to learn how you each decided on your product or business route. I have had several business in my life that haven’t had a long life span. I still have the desire to be a business owner I just don’t know what direction to take. I have too many ideas that it stops me.

I have a business idea that I have discussed with several people. It is a monthly sale of artisans’ wares in our area. No products bought at market for resale unless they are embellished or changed into something more personal from each artisan. I know this will work! I would love to attend something like this. My area of the country is growing and it would support such a venture. I just don’t know how to get started. So taking this course would be a huge benefit.

It’s hard to just pin point one question because I have many.I took the first course 2 times because I really enjoyed it.I would love to know how to really keep good inventory.It’s so hard when you sell vintage items like I do.
I took Jeanne’s first Creatively Made Business course and was deeply inspired by it. The course material was extensive, spot on, the videos fascinating (GRIPPING at times) and well organized – all pertinent for my small business. I was able to implement many of Jeanne’s suggestions and simply felt more easeful in my business approach because of what I was able to learn. It gave me the confidence to do shows and teach, be more experimental in the products I offered. Jeanne is a wonderful business mentor and cheerleader for us all. She will hold your hand. She’ll keep you interested and itchy to either start your own business or bring more light, space, and focus to your existing one.
I am registered for the new CMB 2.0, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. The first course was fantastically good and I know that the next will be even better! The over-arching quality of any of Jeanne’s courses is her generosity of spirit and her love for opening up the heart of things that we often struggle with. I would love to learn that the life I have mapped in my head was meant to be. I am an extremely hard-working analyst by day and relinquisher of the hard rules by night, and the sheer juxtaposition alone makes both aspects of concrete and creative thinking. I cannot think of one without the other. I hope to harness both sides toward success. Unbelievable success. I am on the cusp of reaching toward this dream-map and have the first steps just begun, but seriously need the guided experience of others. It must be you. I can’t wait to begin…

I would love this, I have worked for someone else my whole life, I want to retire and pursue all kinds of art. I would love my own shop but am too afraid to go out on that limb. I do have 2 etsy shops but they could do better. I love that some very successful people want to reach out to others.

I’d love to find some balance with keeping it all straight. The paperwork, taxes, receipts. I know there is no magic button I can push, but some real life help in this area would be great. I have been faltering in the motivation department. I worked so hard for about three years and saw some rewards, but reevaluated their worth. I think a chat would absolutely help me and give me the pointers I need and help I so desperately want.
