Growing up on my family’s farm in Arkansas, I developed the knack for arranging simple elements to enhance my surroundings. A passion for design assembly was forged from those early childhood experiences which has greatly influenced my current path as a photographer, stylist and antique dealer. I love the entire creative process of finding and styling the perfect prop, capturing the scene with my camera and then sharing the final vision with others. For eight years, I was the co owner of Raised In Cotton a retail shop featuring antiques, decor and vintage prop rentals in a century old farmhouse south of Kansas City. In March 2013 I sold my portion of the business to better focus on photography and styling projects. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to have had my work featured in several publications including, Better Homes & Gardens, E A Bride Magazine, Matthew Mead Inc., Kansas City Home & Gardens, Old Home Interiors,
Artful Blogging, Somerset Life, Where Women Create, Romantic Country, Romantic Homes, Romantic Prairie Style Book and the soon to be published, Prairie Style Wedding Book.
My husband Bob, aka “Mr PracticalPants” and I live in a circa 1865 Missouri farmhouse and are proud parents to three grown children.
