Meet Ruth Shively

I live in Portland, Oregon. I’m a self taught painter and work mostly in oils although I sometimes like to change it up and play with gouache and watercolor, occasionally go back to my roots in drawing. I prefer painting as I like the use of color to express myself In my work. I’ve been painting for over 20 years and feel like I learn as I go and look forward to what comes next in my practice.
