One of my favorite things about winter and the holidays has to be how cozy the home feels. So much of this has to do with true coziness like the extra blankets that are found around the house, comforting foods in the oven, the sun going down earlier so candles are lit more and of course the smells of winter. For me this is often a simmer pot on the stove that fills the home with the most welcoming scents. This is one of my favorite go to simmer pot recipes because of the blend of citrus with rosemary and peppercorn. Really simple recipe but smells amazing. Feel free to substitute with pine boughs, vanilla extract, oranges etc.
I was feeling a bit blah this morning with so much on my to do list. Luckily I took a moment to read this and I am so excited and rejuvenated to put together a simmering pot. It’s just what I’ll need for the day as I work from home. Thank you Jeanne!
I love that so much!
