#3’s Room

IMG_4486a

Before #3 we used this room as our school room.

I loved the green we had painted it so when we found out that #3 was going to be a boy I just wanted to add a few things to it.

We (ok…I had nothing to do with it) added the bead board and I painted the dots all over the walls.

I just used different size plates and bowls as templates and painted them in with chocolate browns, whites and sage.

I love the mix of the greens and the chocolate browns.

I really wanted shutters for his windows because his room is southern facing and the morning light is so bright.

We priced different shutters out and we ended up just getting some at JC Penney that were really affordable and they look great.

I wouldn't use these in the living room etc. but they are perfect for a bedroom.

While I was pregnant with our little boy I painted this for him.

I had been looking for something similar but everything I saw was a few hundred.

I love that this room will grow with him until he has his own tastes.

The best part is that he loves his room and spends so many hours driving cars around, building train tracks and playing barn in here.

What a perfect room! I love the little activity center (great rocket, by the way!) and the book rack!!! I have a bead board backed plate rack in storage that I’ve been meaning to turn into a rack like that for my kitchen/parlor.
