Every Friday I will share an easy project that will cost next to nothing.
I have so many projects that I want to accomplish and so many of them are just like things here and there waiting for my attention.
Hopefully we can all get inspired to give our homes a little facelift this summer.
We recently bought a vintage dresser for our bedroom.
Our bedroom has gotten the least amount of attention in our home and I am hoping to change that this summer.
The dresser is smaller than the piece that was there before.
I needed to fill the space but I didn’t want to spend anything.
I started searching through the house for little things that were not needed in the place they were at and made a wall collage with everything.
It was so easy and fast.
I put this up while the children were watching cartoons this morning.
A wise person might actually lay it all out on the floor first…but I just started banging nails all over the place!
I know I will tweak it and change it up a bit as I find more things to add.
I love how it turned out…and the best part is that I had everything already in the house!
If you have a little facelift project that you would like to share we would all love to see!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
yay to facelifts…in our homes!=) FUN idea!
sweet piece, btw.
I love a good before and after, especially when it’s done on a budget. I can’t wait to see next Friday’s project!
Facelift Friday-Great idea! I too have lots of little projects waiting for my attention. Sometimes we all just need a little nudge in the right direction! Thanks for the inspiration:) oh, and I LOVE that dresser!
For a moment, I thought you were talking real facelifts! I like these kind better and this is a wonderful one, Jeanne! I love the image of you pounding and banging nails into the wall…teehee!
Yes the best part is that you had it all on hand already and it turned out absolutely gorgeous! ~Shelley
Facelift Fridays! Love it!!
That dresser of yours has beautiful bones. Gorgeous.
I love the wall….my hubby would pop a vein if he saw/heard me banging holes in our walls!
And the musical instruments – heart that idea! You have inspired me to dig up my old clarinet from when I was a kid and put it out!! Happy Friday 😀
Love the chest of drawers! The wall looks great too! Every piece is different, but grouped together, it all fits.
Totally fabulous. I love this dresser. It is exactly what I have wanted. I like the mirror up high like that. Looks wonderful in your room. You lucky girl. 🙂
What a terrific vintage dresser!! And I love the way you put such interesting pieces together to accent that space. Looking forward to more Facelift Fridays:)
You have such a great eye for design. Love how you hung up the instruments as art! I never lay anything out first either…lots of holes in my walls 🙂
That dresser is really beautiful, what a great find!
How easy and looks great!
Hi…just found your blog. I love your style and your photography is gorgeous! Our bedroom is still a work in progress as well…which is how it should be in design I think….taking your time to find just the right things. I love what you did with the wall collage…beautiful!
you should make a little widget and start this for real Jeanne……I’m in…..and the master is my current project is well – I even bought curtains (which I NEVER do) and have promptly put them back into their neat little packages and taking them back…….forget it man…..I’m doing it all myself
what a gorgeous display you made – it says so much of your personality…….fun interesting 🙂
I love your idea of Facelift Friday, Jeanne. Love the premise – fast, easy and cheap! Your first post is great. Your dresser looks fantastic!
love it! why is it the master bedrooms get the least amount of attention. I’ve been trying to make ours better. now I need to find your link of your bedding again………..mine looks to stark, need some texture!
Oh I love this…your room is amazing.
I need to spend some energy fixing up that room of ours…Hugs for a great weekend my friend…oh I adore my sweet messanger bag..it comes everywhere with me. xoxoxo
love it!
great mix of colors & textures too
the giant “O” and the portraits, the canvas bag & the mini-dress form with jewelry are my faves
oh ,i guess that’s everything up there huh?
looks great xo
Your wall collage is a great idea. Why do we always do up our own bedrooms last?
Love the facelift. I am with you on just nailing away. Gives the collection the look of an unplanned gathering and will make it easier to add to as you go. You have inspired to shop my house for a blank place or two!
Kris

Your items look perfect on the wall:)
Love the dresser! I also create a wall collage this week. 🙂 Happy weekend!

What a great idea! See I’d never come up with that. A little glimpse into your room. Love it. Can’t wait to see the rest:)
What a delightful project! I love it, too!
(and those glass knobs…ohh. I saw a vintage glass doorknob today and passed it by…must go back and see if it’s still there)
(((hugs)))
Jeanne! LOVE it–you are so good. Shopping in your own house can be very surprising…we all so much more stuff than we think, methinks.
Can’t wait to see what you do next Friday 🙂

I like your idea of facelift friday! But you know what’s catching my eye? your swoony bedding! yowza! love the bag of lavender too.
I love it…and I especially appreciated the part about wildly banging nails into the wall. So glad to get to know another gal who flies into a project!
Isn’t shopping around the house the best…your collage looks great…love the old horn.
What a fabulous facelift!! Love the wall collage…a great idea and so thrifty, too:)
oh I like this idea, you bet I will be coming back every friday!! love all the goods, and that you did it with no ryme or reason, my kinda girl! xo
This is so wonderful! I love your collection of things and I agree why plan it out when you can just start hammering away!
I’m a wild nail-banger too! Your make-over looks great. I’m inspired to fix up several areas of my house, but I wanted to paint the walls first.
I wish I had your talent to whip up a wall like yours. It turned out great!!!
