For the supplies, I’m sure you have many of those already. I divided the supply list into two parts; first, the necessary, and second, the optional ones. You don’t have buy everything to take the class and there are so many things you can substitute or that you may not need (see my notes below), but they will make everything more convenient. Should you enroll, you’ll have access to a video lesson where I explain all the materials in detail.
Necessary
Old Magazines (or you can use Pinterest instead)
Journal/sketchbook/notebook (or an old book that you can use as a journal)
Clear gesso
Colored pencils, markers, watercolors, acrylics or any colored medium you have available already.
Pencil
Eraser
12×12 inches Watercolor, Bristol or any thick paper (you can use your sketchbook instead, too)
Ruler
Wood panel or Canvas. I’m using 11×14 inches wood panel.
Acrylic paints:
Water Container
Paper towels
Brushes. These are the ones I’m using but you can use the ones you already have. If it’s your first time painting, you can get a package of assorted flat or filbert brushes and the long detail one.
Optional
Palette knife
Fineliner or Brush pen (I use Tombow Brush pen in black)
Acrylic varnish. I’m using Liquitex High Gloss Varnish but you can choose any finish you like (matte, gloss or satin).
Tracing paper
Vintage papers or scrapbooking paper
Gel medium or Modge Podge or DecouPage
Slow drying medium
Heat gun
Printer
