**ATTENTION**

All of the teachers want you to use what you HAVE!  We have nine teachers in this course with nine supply lists. It is not our intention at all to have you purchase everything on our lists.  Watch all the videos and buy only what you think you will use.  If we use canvas you can use watercolor paper, wood panels etc.  If you watch a video with oils you are encouraged to substitute acrylics etc.  This is a learning course.  We are collecting new inspiration, knowledge, encouragement, processes and techniques.  This new collection of resources will work with the medium YOU love to use.

Week One Supply List {Jeanne Oliver Studying Under Henri Matisse}

Week Five Supply List {Danielle Donaldson studying under O’Keefe}

1.    Oil Pastels

·         Danielle uses: http://www.dickblick.com/products/sennelier-oil-pastel-sets/

·         You do NOT have to buy this brand – a set from your local craft store will do. Once you play with them a bit, you will know if it is worth upgrading.

2.    Pan Watercolors

·         Danielle uses: http://www.dickblick.com/products/grumbacher-watercolor-pan-sets/ and http://www.dickblick.com/products/dr-ph-martins-radiant-concentrated-watercolor-sets/

·         You need at least a good grade of pan watercolors to get good color. The 36 color Grumbacher set is worth the investment.)

3.    Mixed media paper or mixed-media canvas

·         A pad of either in 8X10 and/or 11X14 will work (Like this: http://www.dickblick.com/products/strathmore-300-series-mixed-media-pads/)

4.    Watercolor paper

·         Remember, the heavier the weight, the more layers it will hold.

·         Hot or Cold Press – I use both

·         8×10 is the best size to start with

5.    Patterned paper

·         Whatever you have on hand will work.

·         Patterned paper will be used in very small amounts so scraps will do.

6.    Sketch book  

·         Noting fancy but with large enough paper to add detail to a drawing

7.    Mechanical pencils

8.    White ink pens

My faves are:

·         Mixed-media brushes. Whatever you have on hand. You just want to keep your watercolor brushes separate. Take my word for it.

·         Table salt in a small jar. Once you use it, you will want to keep it in your studio space. J

·         Artist tape (used to prevent warping with watercolor paper. I use: http://www.dickblick.com/products/artist-tape/, but if you have Scotch Painters tape on-hand, that will work too!)

Week Eight Supply List {Kate Thompson studying under Francoise De Felice}

10″ x 15″ wood for acrylic painting

Angle bristle brushes-#2 and #4, #14 soft bristle brush for glazing, #30 Dick Blick Mega brush- angle for glazing
