All Dressed Up

On Saturday night we had our yearly progressive dinner with our neighborhood.

We hosted appetizers and cocktails this year and we had so much fun.

The house was all cleaned (thanks to the lovely cleaning ladies that I hadn't seen since the spring) and we had finished decorating the house.

I snapped some photos while the house was clean…doesn't happen that often…and I wanted to share the house all dressed up!

The shop is now officially closed until January 1 and I will be getting the last of the orders out today.

This week will be full of creating, baking, ice skating, time with friends and maybe a little shopping.

How are you decorating for Christmas?

I LOVE looking at everyone's homes and ohhh and aahhing over all the gorgeous decorating!!!

thanks so much for sharing the photos of your very warm and cozy home. i love the black mirror, the ivory pillar candles, the apothecary jars…the shredded paper, and just every little detail, really. it’s especially interesting to me to see the cherry wood and white molding – when we moved into our home 10 years ago, we had almost all cherry furniture; but it was a bit too much because this home had cherry stained molding, cupboards, etc. so i have gradually added white pieces of furniture and accessories, and have gotten rid of much of our cherry furniture. so your home is what i really would have chosen – white molding! i’ve tried to talk my dh into letting me paint the molding white…but no luck so far! thanks again for the peek inside your home:)

I have that same dough bowl thing! My husband bought it for me for Christmas in NY and it is one of my prized possessions….he said he wanted to “strap it on the car” hahaha…it is a large one.
You can do so many wonderful things with it for each season! Love it!

  25. Molly @ Star Cottage

Wow Jeanne! Your home looks so lovely πŸ˜‰
It’s been a while since I have gotten the chance to hop on the computer. Life is good but crazy busy. I hope you have a fabulous Christmas with your family. Looks Like you are all off to a good start.

  26. Rebecca Nixon

Oh my gosh ~ I am cracking up. I have that same table runner from Vagabond Vintage (bought at Lola Rue’s) and a dough bowl with pinecones and candles on my dining room table. And I wraped my white poinsettes in burlap as well. Although I put black and white checked ribbon on them. Anyway, I think yours is cuter! Have a Merry Christmas Jeanne, thank you for inspiring us all!!!
