As I was growing up I dreamed of being an archeologist. I had a deep love of history, stories, and the idea of uncovering what was hidden. It was not until I was a working artist that I found it surprising that so many of the other artists that I admired also had this same dream as a child. I find it beautiful to realize that so many of the artists that I connect with create work with layers, stories of family, and history, including vintage elements and the mystery of what can be uncovered. I guess many of us get to be those archeologists in many ways now. One of those artists is Erin Faith Allen. I first connected with Erin as a filmmaker and later as a storyteller through art. Erin is back with another course on our creative network and this time she will be creating a gorgeous, stitched, layered book and at the end of the course your book will be filled with the beauty of YOU!
