Hello everyone!

I am back from teaching in California and my leg is healing beautifully!

It is still bandaged but almost all of the infection is gone.

Seriously….everyone that has ever known ANYONE with an infection has shared some horror story with me.

Bottom line…I am so thankful it is healing.

For the month of May I thought it would be fun to start a new series.

Each Wednesday will be “I Will Show You Mine {if you will show me yours}.

Not as scary as you think and I definitely won’t be lifting my shirt or showing any cellulite.

Did you all just breathe a sigh of relief?

Each week you can also link up and share “yours”.

Today I am sharing my basic makeup.

I get so many emails asking what makeup I use and especially when I do an e-course.

I swear that light in my office is magical and makes my skin look porcelain….which it definitely is NOT.

I have a routine and a way that I like to apply my makeup.

Nothing too fancy but these are my favorites.

I would love to see what you use too.

I like a pretty natural look and I am more likely to put a little more attention into skin and eyes than anything else.

When I was in high school I loved nothing more than makeup…and it showed.

Wowza could this girl pile it on!!

Now I really just want to accent what is lovely and try to naturally cover that which is not.

I have wrinkles.

I have sunspots.

I have larger pores in certain areas.

It is what it is.

I will never do anything too drastic to stay looking young but in the same breath I want to grow old gracefully.

I used to work in a nursing home when I was in high school and one of the loveliest sites is an older women that still cares about how she looks.

I plan on having long grey hair, painted toe nails and a little color on my cheeks at 90.

I hope I do.

I love when women don’t forget about themselves.

After I wash my face in the morning I apply Mineral Fusion Treatment Serum.

I am a sucker of serums….it must make me think it is doing something miraculous with my skin.

My skin is also changing so much!

It has changed so significantly that I am going in to have my hormones checked.

Lately my skin is drier and I am getting cysts under my skin.

When you notice your skin changing sometimes it is just little shifts and there are so many things you can do naturally.

After the serum I put on a Mineral Fusion moisturizer or my new BB Cream.

So far I am really loving it.

It blends like nothing I have ever tried and really brightens my skin.

I don’t like a heavy foundation so I use just a touch of Mineral Fusion Sheet Tint foundation.

Just a touch.

If I have any blemishes I will use my Covergirl Cover Up Stick #730.

I use a really light color and blend it in.

I use this for breakouts and sun spots.

I can not apply any powder without my awesome makeup brush my Arbonne.

I am still looking for a chemical free face powder (if you have a good suggestion I am all ears).

I really like the color of Maybelline’s Loose Face Powder in Light.

I just lightly brush my whole face.

I then top it off with Arbonne’s Bronzing Powder.

Keep in mind that I do all of this lightly.

Unless I am going out for something special I only use a little blush for eyeshadow.

I told you I was all fancy:-)

I then use the same Botantics Blush in Chicory for my cheeks.

I set everything with Mineral Fusion Hydration Mist.

When I run out of the spray I just fill it with water.

This sets all of my makeup and gives my skin a nice glow.

All I usually wear on my lips is Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Red Dahlia.

I am crazy over this stuff.

I keep an embarrassing amount hoarded all over the house.

Don’t judge me.

I don’t like eyeliner unless it is either Bobby Brown Charcoal Eyeshadow or Tarte Emphas Eye in Charcoal.

When I use the Bobby Brown I use a small brush to apply as an eyeliner.

{I only apply eyeliner on my top lid and only apply mascara on my top lashes}

To finish everything off I apply L’OREAL Voluminous mascara.

I have tried so many mascaras over the years and I always come back to this one because of how thick it makes my lashes.

I really like the Black Noir or Black Brown.

It sounds like I am Tammy Faye Baker but I swear I am not!

What do you use?

I love seeing what makeup works for others.
