These Wild Flowers: Supply List - Jeanne Oliver

Supply List

My mentality is to “use what you have”. I love to buy art supplies, but I never like feeling like I’m forced to buy things I won’t use in the future. I want you to feel freedom here to use what you have. I’ve listed the particular things that I use often, but any equivalent would be fine. Even the colors listed, if you had something similar you could get away with that. Any brand is FINE, I’m just linking some options in case you want guidance and to make it easier.

Paint colors to have on hand: (remember they don’t have to be EXACTLY these paints!)
Paynes Grey
Raw Umber
Burnt Sienna
Titanium White
Unbleached Titanium
Yellow
Blue
Red
White Gesso
This set has most of the necessary colors, if you want to keep it easy. It substitutes Mars Black for Paynes Grey (which is FINE) and you’d still need Unbleached Titanium and gesso.
A variety of your other favorite colors. 10ish different colors you LOVE. I’d get a variety of
hues, not ten shades of green or something. 🙂

Acryla Goauche – This is my hands down favorite paint. It comes in such unique colors
straight from the tube. It’s highly pigmented and delightful to use.
Target Handmade Modern Craft Paint 2 oz. (I would not use these for the listed colors
you’ll need. They’re not quite rich enough in pigment. But, you can use them for other
paints you’ll use in the class!)
Master’s Touch Acrylic Paint – This is Hobby Lobby’s house brand.
Artist’s Loft Acrylic Paint – This is Michaels’ house brand.
Palette Paper Pad
Watercolor Paper Sketchbook
4x4in Canvas Pack – You’ll need 3 canvases of this size. I actually paint on wood blocks in the class, so you can use any substrate of a similar size. Use what you have, right?? 🙂
Assorted brushes – I like using cheap brushes so I don’t have to be precious with them. These are just a suggestion, but whatever brushes you have or love will work just fine!
