My Little Linus

One of my sweet friends bought my youngest a blankie before he was born.

My kids do not like pacifers (believe me I tried) and they have never been attached to a blankie.

I gave Benjamin the blankie when he was really little and he has loved it ever since.

He takes it everywhere

The last time we left it somewhere was the jump house.

 I called.

The gentleman asked what color it was.

I let him know at one time it was light blue….it may be closer to brown now.

He was so brave to touch it!!!

Truly…I do wash it ….when I can pry it from the child's hands.

That is so cute Jeanne! My Sawyer had a blankie when he was little too. It got so tattered and torn that I had to keep cutting off the bad parts and all that was left in the end was a small square. Of course I saved it for him. He will still once in a while say “do you remember when I had my blankie?” So cute!

that is so sweet!! i wish i had something now that gave me such comfort. my daughter had a “night-night” which was really a cloth diaper/burp rag. i think because i always had them up by her face and neck when i fed her. when eric came along, she would be able to tell which one was hers by smelling them. what a fun memory. thanks.

So very sweet. My son had a blanket like that he loved. He’s 5 going on 12 now and wants nothing to do with it. The blankie sits all lonely in his room now.

My son doesn’t have a blankie but he has his thumb! Yep it goes with him wherever he goes and it’s in his mouth until I can pry it out to tell him to please talk without his thumb in his mouth! It’s in the dirt, sand and his food… πŸ™‚ What’s a mom to do…. πŸ™‚

Happy Friday! ok, is that blankie a little giraffe blankie? If so my son has three of them and he carries all three of them when he has a chance and sleeps with about 5 blankets in his crib! So I totally understand this post..I will cry the day he wants to hand it to me and says he doesn’t need it anymore…! XO

Well Please don’t tell my 10 little man, but he still has what is left of his knitted blanket. He has had since the day he was born and can’t be without it to sleep. He worries cuz he still really needs it, but I tell him he will give it up when he is ready. It is tattered and pulling apart and I swear I was it every week too. Boys and there Blankies. Hi Jeanne- this is my first time to your blog and really enjoyed it. Love the soundtrack!
My son is four and is still in love with his blankie. Whenever we come home from being out and about and he sees his blankie he shouts “Blankie!” like he hasn’t seen it in months.

Hey Jeanne, What a handsome Little boy. Love the picture sequence, so cute. My kids wouldn’t do pacifiers either. There were definitely nights I wished they would, but I was glad I never had to break the habbit.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
    Blessings,
    Molly

Love your blog…my oldest daughter had a “blankie ba-ba”…she took it everywhere. I wish I would have taken pictures of her with it, sadly she lost it in an airplane ride. We still talk about it. What a wonderful post, thanks for taking me back 21 years ago.

How adorable your little Linus is! My youngest was like that, too. One weekend I went out of town and my hubby “hid” the blanket and refused to “unhide it”. Pitiful. I was as sad as my son! I did find it months later and put it in his baby keepsake box!

What a sweet boy! Is that the blankie that I gave him? He is getting so big. I can’t believe how time flies!
