I am home from my very busy weekend in Illinois.

With the launch of the line and then the trip to NaDa Farm to sell and teach….I am just trying to catch up on sleep!

I arrived in Illinois last Thursday. Β My friend, Jen, picked me up and Beth Quinn (who was also selling at the farm).

Jen pretty much was running me all over the Chicago suburbs to find all the art supplies I needed for my class.

{these are a few photos from Jen’s beautiful home}

There is something so special when you are able to be in a friend’s home.

Sitting at a table, sharing a meal, laughing over a glass (or two…or three) of wine, meeting little ones and husbands for the first time.

I think it gives you the biggest insight to the real life of your friend.

We had all kinds of big plans for the night.

I had all my merchandise to tag and price and iron.

Instead, we drank wine and smoked cigars…don’t even ask how the cigars started.

I take complete responsibility;-)

Lets just say that the next morning the cigars were not making me feel ready to take on the big day we had ahead of us!!!

We made our way to Anne Marie and Jason’s farm and were busy all morning and afternoon setting up.

I truly felt like collapsing at this point but we headed to our hotel and got ready for the opening evening.

The theme of the night was the Boho Ball.

It was fun to see everyone dressed up and to watch the first buyers come to the sale.

There were also incredibly talented vendors like Polly and Jill!

Fifi O’Neill was also there to sign her new book, “Romantic Prairie Style”.

I enjoyed the time I had to talk to her photographer Mark Lohman. Β He is an incredible photographer and I encourage you to check out his work.

I grew up in Illinois….in fact, not too far way from Anne Marie’s farm.

Coming home in the spring you forget about the humidity and mosquitoas that will soon be everywhere.

Instead, you see prairie grasses blowing in the wind, green everywhere, family and sweet friends.

Whenever I come home I am so happy to spend time with Jen, Tracey and Traci.

I have a confession to make.

It is wrong…really wrong…on soooo many levels.

Traci has a really hot son. Β He is only 19 years old and I always tease her about him.

I better cut back on the jokes because I think she now thinks I am a littleΒ Coo, coo, ca-choo, Mrs Robinson!!!!

We all slept well that night and got up to do it all over again.

Well, that is all I could go through today.

Tomorrow I will share photos from the sale.

On a side note I have to tell you all that I have restocked some items in the shop.

I am also so tickled that my lookbook has received over 100,000 views!

I am so excited about this!!!

I guess we will be doing lookbooks from now on:-)
