(The amazing view that first night as the sun was beginning to set)

Here I am back at home and slowly getting used to the time change.

As I am unpacking my suitcases, unwrapping all my vintage treasures, kissing my children, doing laundry and catching up with friends and family….I can't believe that must a mere two days ago that I was in France.

I have only begun to go through my photos and it truly feels like a dream.

I am so grateful now that I journaled every night or I do not believe I would remember everything or kept the days straight.

So many of the my passions were packed into each day and it was almost so magical that it was hard to believe it was real even while you are actually living it!

I arrived home on Tuesday night.  My four favorite people in the world were anxiously waiting for me at the airport.

I was so exhausted that I was not even able to tell them about the trip or show them photos.

By the time my head hit the pillow I was not coherent and I had been awake for 24 hours.

After only one day with my sweet Jack I helped him pack his bags today and put him on a bus for camp.

With my mixture of exhaustion and missing him already I was not ready to say goodbye for four days.

I hugged him and told him how much fun he was going to have (mostly to convince myself) and when I got to the car I cried.

Going through my photos has been a nice distraction.

Because I have children begging me to play with them I will only show you a few photos from my first night.

After the flight into Paris I took a train (with Alexis, Rachel and Jackie) into Montaboune.  The train ride was about 6 hours long.  There was someone waiting for us to take us to the chateau where everyone was waiting for us to have dinner.

When we pulled up the lane leading to the chateau I couldn't believe my eyes how gorgeous the property was.

I knew it was going to be amazing but it was truly one of the most gorgeous sites I have ever seen.

Everything in me wanted to skip dinner and meeting everyone else and just explore with my camera.

My manners won and I just hope that anything I said actually made sense that night.

(dessert the first night)

These are the only photos I took that first night….this will be the only photo light post you will get from my trip to France.

Tomorrow I will be back with my first glances of the chateau.

I am so happy to be home and I am hoping that within the next few days I will get back into a routine.

After all the cheese and wine I will be exercising tomorrow too!
