Ramblings on a Wednesday Afternoon

I hope you are all having a great day.

We spent the day at the creek doing school with my sister and her children.

It is one of our favorite back to school activities that we do each year.

There is something so peaceful and magical about the grassy hills, creek, huge trees and an empty park.

We almost had the whole play to ourselves.

Today I just wanted to ramble a bit (if you have ever met me in person you know I do this in real life too) and share some of my favorite inspiration…

If you love the sound of The Civil Wars, The Lumineers, The Avett Brothers etc. you might like All Sons and Daughters.

This is a Christian group with a great sound and incredible writing.

I have to do this!

I love the simplicity of it but what a big impact it makes in the space.

Wouldn’t this be wonderful for the meals of the week, quotes or your favorite scripture?

I love this look!

If you own the Audrey dress from our winter collection 2011 this look would work beautifully!

Once the weather gets cooler (or I am dreaming of the cooler weather:-)) I am better about writing letters.

I love to surprise those I cherish with sweet words in the mail.

This image inspires me to send mail more often.

Nothing inspires my creativity like seeing gorgeous works of art.

Nothing like a great kitchen shot to encourage you to spend some time making something yummy for your family.

I love a good soup.

Edie loves soup as much as I do (maybe more) and always has the best recipes.

Once I know fall is around the corner I get all DIY and freak myself out.

Lucky for me I have some fun things coming up that gives me a reason to pay some extra attention to the house.

I wanted to share what some of my friends are doing…

KariAnne has created the most AMAZING letters out of wood pallets!

Jen and her husband have been working like crazy redoing their rental to sell.  You HAVE to check out their results.

Tracey is having a wonderful sale on her vintage items in her shop.  I already picked up a few things for myself:-)

Christy has a brand new course with Danielle Daniels that begins NEXT week!

You still have today to take advantage of my $18 sale on all currently running e-courses!  The sale ends tonight.

Creatively Made Home {home for the holidays} is now open for registration!

We are already busy putting together all of the videos and this course is going to be so fun and inspiring.

I am blown away by the talent in this group and can’t wait for you all to be a part of it.

Loved the post! I went and purchased that inspirational quote. Just what my husband and I need to be reminded of right now. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for sharing! I gasped when I saw this paper roll the first time and it still leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy again! This WILL grace our home before the middle of the month passes us! In fact it has created such a buzz around these parts that I’ve started reworking the kitchen, to include rebuilding our sideboard, making new wash rags & napkins, sewing up a runner, and reorganizing the cupboards. Love the inspiration quote as well… it is going to be a belated anniversary present for my sweet hubby!
