One of our favorite things to do at the end of summer is to have an outdoor movie night.
Last year our rainy and cold September didn't allow us to have one.
This year Benjamin wanted an outdoor movie night for his birthday party.
(Benjamin getting his glow stick bracelet and then rocking out to the pre-movie music. There may have been a little Bad To The Bone playing)

Instead of inviting over 100 people it was much smaller at around 40.
It is pretty incredible to watch a movie while seeing shooting stars flash across the night sky.
We were all bundled up in blankets eating our popcorn and candy.
The dads were all secretly meeting behind the swing set for the smuggled in keg of beer..nice one Jim!!

We had an outdoor movie night in my cousin’s backyard {in NY} this summer…such a good time:) And, of course, we had the staples, too: popcorn, candy, & blankets! Sorry, no beer;) That “Bad-to-the-Bone” boy of yours is such a cutie…hope Ben had a wonderful birthday bash!

That looks so fun, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time….if you have time, can you tell me how you actually do it, like what type of projector or digital device you used, etc.

We do a movie night every summer too..funny enough, we didn’t do ours this year because we had too much going on. I missed it…definitey putting it back on the schedule next summer.

We love outdoor movies here!! We usually watch one a weekend, I love your screen..we use our house which works out perfectly for us but I do like the screen! Sounds like you had a great time!
My hubby and I have been trying to have an outdoor movie night for years. It seems that as soon as it cools off and the mosquitos leave, life just gets too busy with Fall activities.
You’ve totally inspired me to pull out the calendar, pick a date and stick to it!
