What Do Your Mornings Look Like?

I have loved looking through the lovely photos of A Year of Mornings.

Ayearofmornings

I love the story behind the book.

I love the collaboration and the outcome is stunning and simple.

I thought I would give it a try myself.

The result was MY mornings and the early hours through my eyes.

I put my camera next to my bed so I wouldn't forget!

I captured three mornings.

None of the photos have been edited so you can see the natural light.

It was such a fun experience and really helped me look at our home, light and mornings with a new perspective.

I love photographing and chronicling mornings. I did participate in a group about Beautiful Sundays and mine were always in the mornings. Maybe we can start a small group where, people take shots of their mornings once a week (or more) and share the why of the picture. Do you think that seems fun? Then create journals or an Apple book using the pictures. I’m rambling…too tired and too much wine…Anway – I’d love to work on something like that!

fun post, If I shared my mornings in Pictures, it wouldn’t be Pretty! Crazy I like Jackie’s idea too.. Your shots are Beautiful. Jamie

Oh, I love these photographs and this idea! You should do this once a week & (as mentioned above) begin a group. Soft morning light is just pure loveliness. Love this post. 🙂

Your photos are beautiful…. I like this idea and may try it later this week. (Oh, my, it’s Thursday already, isn’t it?) Okay, one day soon. I love morning light, so this is a great excuse to take pictures first thing one morning!

i don’t think i could get tired of seeing these kinds of shots, the beauty (and the ugly sometimes, i guess) of it! but it is fun to try to find the sweetness, beauty, coolness in the unexpected! i love that! thanks for sharing this awesome book and your mornings!

totally cool idea! my mornings are spent sitting on the back steps waiting for oscar to go poop. Yes, a very glamourous life I lead! But my morning always includes a pot, yes a POT of coffee! (with coconut creamer)

  10. Laurel @ Pandora's Cottage

Lovely mornings! I think I will do this. I love the idea of looking at things in a new light and since my eyes are barely open for the first hour I’m awake, this ‘otta be interesting. Thanks for the inspiriation.

agreed – my mornings are typically frantic – as i’m not a morning person. but – what a great challenge this is, as i can really slow it down and try to see the beauty in it….!

Very fun idea. I’m afraid mine would look more like bed head, but the coffee is something we have in common! Always creative….love reading your blog!

Beautiful pictures! My mornings don’t look good until I’ve had at least 1 cup of coffee. But, I will say that my 3 little ones do look awfully cute in the morning – before the whining, nagging, and over whelming noise of the day kicks in!
