Kitchen Remodel Phase One {My Computer Desk}

Thank you for your comments about the new shelving.  We love how it opens the space and allows me to share more art and part of my ironstone collection.

All of our day to day dishes are still in the cabinets and easier for the kids to reach.

Another smaller project that we just recently finished was tearing out the original built in desk in our kitchen and replacing it with a desk that we already had.

We tore out the preexisting desk before the floors were refinished.

We have enjoyed having my brother available to help with some of the projects.

We were fortunate that the wood floors extended all of the way under the desk even where the drawers were sitting.

This was a few hours worth of work but I love the big difference that it makes.

My good friend Lissa and I had both bought the same Darling Lets Be Adventurers sign from Tiffini of House of Belonging.

I love how Lissa has it hanging on the wall behind her computer and I wanted to duplicate that even though I have a window behind mine.

I know it is unconventional but I have really loved it so far.

{If I decide to move it I will definitely let you all know}

One of the nice parts about the renovation so far is that my printer now has a spot inside the kitchen island!

I love that it is not taking up space on the counter or on my desk.

Thanks for stopping by to see the new computer desk.

    I love that you hung that sign up over the window! I saw it in the background of one of your shelving pics and thought that was such a cool idea! 🙂

    Your desk looks great there – another splash of color and great style you have!
