Supply List

  • Sketchbook Suitable for Wet Medium (I prefer cold-pressed watercolor paper in either an A5 size or an 8”x8” square format)
  • Waterproof Pens (fine & medium line weight) – I use a Lamy Safari pen and fill the cartridge with waterproof ink or you can use any brand of pen that you prefer
  • Round or Ultra Round Watercolor Brushes size 8 or 10 or a Travel Brush
  • Watercolors in a Portable Palette Box (the colors I use in this course are burnt sienna, ultramarine blue, moonglow, sap green, cadmium yellow medium, cobalt blue, cobalt turquoise, payne’s grey, lavender, permanent alizarin crimson, yellow ochre, quinacridone rose)
  • White Gel Pen
  • Grey Tombow Markers (I use a light and medium shade)
  • Watercolor Pencils (choose a small amount of favorite colors including a blue, green, sienna, yellow, red, white)
  • Pencil Sharpener
  • Travel Bag/Pouch
  • Nalgene Water Bottle
  • Portable Collapsible Water Cup
  • Rag or Paper Towels
  • Scrap pieces of paper
  • Clips for Holding Sketchbook Pages Down
  • Spray Water Bottle

OPTIONAL SUPPLIES

  • Portable Stool
  • Brush Caps
  • Lap Board
  • Hat & Sunscreen (for sketching outdoors)
