Poets + Misfits: Supply List - Jeanne Oliver

Supply List

I always encourage everyone to watch the videos before purchasing any supplies. There will be techniques that connect with you and then others that you will know right away you don’t want to use and incorporate.

I know that you will already have many of the tools needed. I will share what I use but that does not mean you have to have exactly what I use to create beautiful art in this workshop.

Dye Baths

  • You can use almost anything to create dye baths. In the class we are working with black beans, avocado pits, teas and a Rit Dye. Please watch the course first to see if you like the colors produced by the different baths.

Hand Stitched Journal

  • You can purchase the journal kit HERE. If you want to make the whole kit from scratch you can watch a free tutorial HERE.
  • Fabric scraps for the cover, embroidery thread and either a stencil or your own design. If you are interested in the stencil it is also included in the KIT or you can purchase it directly HERE.
  • Jeanne’s favorite wax thread for bookbinding

Natural Pigments

  • This will only require you to step out your front door and see what minerals you have on your property or in the region where you live. This is a fun way to bring your natural world into your art. If you purchase the KIT you will receive some natural minerals from our land.
