Meet Zane Prater

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Zane Prater grew up in close contact to the natural world. After studying painting and printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute, he traveled for years, studying at a traditional Tibetan painting academy in India, apprenticing in a tattoo studio in Guatemala, and eventually, receiving classical training in figurative drawing and painting at the Barcelona Academy of Art. He now lives in Barcelona where he works on canvas, paper, and in the public space to weave new narratives regarding how we, as humans, relate to the larger tapestry of life that surrounds us.
