I have been captivated by the works on paper and also the murals of Zane Prater for years now. His mastery of line and his ability to bring emotion to the viewer is one of my favorite aspects of his work. I have had the joy of seeing some of his large mural work up close and I always walk away inspired to grow as an artist myself. I am deeply honored to share that Zane has created a stunning course for our creative network.
Here is a little bit about Zane and his work.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Zane Prater grew up in close contact to the natural world. After studying painting and printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute, he traveled for years, studying at a traditional Tibetan painting academy in India, apprenticing in a tattoo studio in Guatemala, and eventually, receiving classical training in figurative drawing and painting at the Barcelona Academy of Art. He now lives in Barcelona where he works on canvas, paper, and in the public space to weave new narratives regarding how we, as humans, relate to the larger tapestry of life that surrounds us.
