I just finished two back-to-back art workshops in Scotland and England. We started in Edinburgh and spent most of our time in the Lake District. I love a workshop (or any trip) that starts in the city and ends in the countryside.
When I have only a short amount of time with other artists I am not as concerned about they create but about the mindset shifts and tools they will be given so they create consistently when they get back home.
A workshop is amazing but if we only save our creativity for special occasions then we are:
1. Never growing as artists
2. Miss out on the benefits of what creativity adds to our lives
3. Overlook the beauty that surrounds us every day
