I am not a design or DIY blog so I am always humbled and honored when bloggers that I adore and admire ask me to be a part of their home tours.
This means so much to me because family, faith and friends mean everything to me and HOME is so much at the center of it all.
Our home is truly an eclectic mix of what we really love and use…and I hope it shows.
To begin this tour from the beginning please start with Gina at The Shabby Cottage and take your time looking through all of the inspiration of this home tour!
If you are coming from Haneen’s Haven I am so happy you are here!
Welcome to our artsy vintage home…
When you first walk into our home you see my art studio.
This was the brilliant idea of my husband years ago to take a room we barely used and to make sure it was put to good use.
This has really changed the feel of our home and also the purpose of our spaces. This all goes back to really loving and using what we have.
{just starting on a new piece}
From my studio you can go through the butler’s pantry to get to the kitchen. This is where we keep everything for cocktails, coffee or tea.
I really like how much we use this space because there was a time when it was empty and more of extra storage.
Now it is a fun place for all of us to make hot cocoa, coffee, tea or grab a cold soda. It is also perfect for when we have guests because it is already set up and convenient.
The kitchen is the area that has probably changed the most over the twelve years we have lived in our home.

We will be adding concrete counters along the back of the kitchen later this summer, our backslash and replacing the open shelving.
It all takes time and money so if you are wanting to make changes and you are anything like us…you will need to learn patience.
Our floor plan in the kitchen and living room is really nice and open.
These two areas is where we spend the most of our time.
One of my favorite rooms of our home is the library/music room.
This space was recently repainted and I love the change!
My husband built all of the shelving for one my birthday many years ago.
{all three of our children play the piano, guitar and ukelele and it is one of my favorite sounds in the world}
Sometimes we don’t even realize how important it is to state what your heart is for your family and home.
During my last holiday home tour I wrote a bit about my heart for our home and my friend Tiffani of House of Belonging surprised me with the sign above.
This is what the sign says:
In this home you will find that art is made often, music is usually playing, a candle is burning, books are being read, the house is rarely really clean and I forget about dinner until around 4:30 each day.
More than anything I hope that our children remember how much they are deeply loved and accepted.
I hope they always carry with them their faith and how it will guide their steps all of their days.
I hope they will also know that a pretty house is nice but the people in that house are the best!
{I had no idea that it would become permanent words on a sign and I like that I didn’t know. If I would have made up the sign I am afraid I would have written things differently and THIS sign is perfect}
Please check out our previous home tours so you will know that the bedrooms are cleaned every once in awhile! 🙂
Thank you so much for taking a look at out home as we get ready for summer.
Please come back again!
The tour isn’t over yet!

Thank you so much!
Each time I watch one of your videos, I always enjoy catching glimpses of your beautiful home. Can you tell me the size of the kraft paper you have hanging in your kitchen and what you used to hang it from the wall. I also thought the way you hung and rolled the end of your paints was practical and pleasant to the eye! Thanks for opening your home!
i love your home!!!
